New York, NY (June 28, 2017)—HarperCollins Publishers announced today the acquisition of Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson’s second picture book in the River Rose series, RIVER ROSE AND THE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS, featuring an original Christmas song written and performed by the international superstar. This book marks the follow-up to Clarkson’s New York Times bestselling debut last year, RIVER ROSE AND THE MAGICAL LULLABY. World rights were sold to David Linker, Executive Editor, HarperCollins Children’s , from CAA.

It’s Christmas Eve, and River Rose wants to stay up all night to hand- deliver a letter to Santa. She can’t wait to finally meet the man in red until…oh, no! Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson has released six studio (Thankful, Breakaway, , All I Ever Wanted, Stronger, Piece by Piece), one greatest hits , and one holiday album, has sold over twenty-one million albums worldwide, and has had ten singles in the top ten on the singles chart. She is the recipient of three Grammy Awards, four , three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Awards, and one CMA Award. Clarkson is currently in the studio working on her highly anticipated new album, her first for , which will be released later this year. The album will draw from the inspiration of soul and R&B as the foundation to her endearing lyrics and powerhouse vocals.
