Previous meetings • The sides are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition and this is Rapid's first encounter with Belarusian opponents. • Dinamo's four games against Austrian teams have ended W3 D0 L1 (W2 D0 L0 at home – W1 D0 L1 in Austria). They won both of those home matches without conceding. • Dinamo eliminated FC Salzburg in this season's UEFA Europa League play-offs, prevailing on penalties in Austria after a 2-0 home win and a 2-0 away defeat. Form guide • Dinamo are unbeaten in three European home fixtures this term, but did not score or win (D1 L2) in their three group stage home matches last season. • Rapid are unbeaten away from home in Europe this season – having won 3-2 at AFC Ajax and drawn 2-2 with FC Shakhtar Donetsk in UEFA Champions League qualifying – but are without a win in their last seven UEFA Europa League group stage trips (D1 L6) since a 2-0 success at PFC CSKA Sofia in October 2010. • Dinamo Minsk have reached this stage for the second season in succession; they did not progress to the round of 32 in 2014/15. • Rapid failed to make it through to the knockout phase in their four previous UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League campaigns. Trivia and links • The journey from Vienna to Minsk is around 1,000km. • Rapid's Croatian striker Matej Jelić was the joint top scorer in UEFA Europa League qualifying this season, registering seven goals for MŠK Žilina before moving to Austria. The coaches • Former FK Partizan defender Vuk Rašović has been in charge of Dinamo Minsk since the summer, having stepped up to a front-line role after a spell as the club's director of football. He had previously been on the coaching staff at Partizan and their feeder club FK Teleoptik. • A midfielder of Croatian descent, Vienna-born Zoran Barisic played for Rapid from 1993 to 1995 and has been on the coaching staff since 2006. He has been in sole command at the club since 2013 and led them to a runners-up finish in the Bundesliga last season. 3 FC Dinamo Minsk - SK Rapid Wien Thursday 1 October 2015 - 21.05CET (22.05 local time) Match press kit Borisov-Arena, Borisov Team facts FC Dinamo Minsk Formed: 1927 Nickname: Belo-Golubye (White-Blues) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • none Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 8 (2004) Belarusian Cup: 3 (2003) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2014/15: group stage 2013/14: third qualifying round 2012/13: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2010/11: play-offs 2009/10: second qualifying round 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: second qualifying round 2006/07: second qualifying round 2005/06: UEFA Champions League first qualifying round Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 6-0: Dinamo v CS Hobscheid 16/06/01, UEFA Intertoto Cup first round first leg • Biggest away win 0-6: HJK Helsinki v Dinamo 03/10/84, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 1-4: Dinamo v PFC CSKA Sofia 15/08/02, UEFA Cup qualifying round first leg 0-3: Dinamo v ACF Fiorentina 02/10/14, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 6-1: PAOK FC v Dinamo 18/09/14, UEFA Europa League group stage 5-0: SV Werder Bremen v Dinamo 17/10/95, UEFA Cup second round first leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 5-0: Dinamo v FK Kruoja 11/07/13, UEFA Europa League first qualifying round first leg • Biggest away win 0-6: HJK Helsinki v Dinamo (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 1-4: Dinamo v PFC CSKA Sofia (see above) 0-3: Dinamo v ACF Fiorentina • Heaviest away defeat 6-1: PAOK FC v Dinamo (see above) 5-0: SV Werder Bremen v Dinamo (see above) SK Rapid Wien Formed: 1899 Nickname: Die Grün-Weißen (The Green-Whites) 4 FC Dinamo Minsk - SK Rapid Wien Thursday 1 October 2015 - 21.05CET (22.05 local time) Match press kit Borisov-Arena, Borisov UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup: (1985), (1996) • UEFA Intertoto Cup: 2007 Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 32 (2008) Austrian Cup: 14 (1995) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2014/15: play-offs 2013/14: group stage 2012/13: group stage 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2010/11: group stage 2009/10: group stage 2008/09: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2007/08: first round (having transferred from UEFA Intertoto Cup) 2006/07: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2005/06: UEFA Champions League group stage Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Rapid v FC Avenir Beggen 29/09/82, European Champions Clubs' Cup first round second leg • Biggest away win 1-6: F91 Dudelange v Rapid 27/07/05, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg 0-5: FC Avenir Beggen v Rapid 15/09/82, European Champions Clubs' Cup first round first leg • Heaviest home defeat 2-6: Rapid v ACF Fiorentina 25/10/61, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup first round second leg 0-4: Rapid v Bayer 04 Leverkusen 25/10/12, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 7-2: AC Milan v Rapid 12/02/56, European Champion Clubs' Cup quarter-final second leg 5-0: Juventus v Rapid 30/10/96, UEFA Champions League group stage UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 6-1: Rapid v 1.
