Morgan Horse mdop, Leominster, MasScr,.. Dear Mr. Eusey: We have recently made a d ision to dispose of all of our Morgan breeding stock and have culled and cut down t animals which we feel sure Morgan breeders will be inter- ested in securing. In pricing these Morgans we ar classifying them and putting a top price on each classification. This top price ill be the price of the first animal chosen by the buyer out of that particular clasification. Each succeeding time a choice is made from a classification the price of hat particular animal will be determined by deducting $5.00 from the price paidor the preceeding animal. As an example, the top price on the 8 head of bred is $280.00. The first animal chosen is $280.00, the second animal $275.00, thid animal $270.00 and so on down to number 8, her price being $240.00. The classifications are priced as follows \ top price 23 brood mares -,.._ $400.00 8 three year old bred fillies \ 280.00 11 two year old fillies ‘ 200.00 16 yearling filly colts N-180.00 14 yearling stud colts 170.00 v. 3 breeding studs, $1,000, $500, $250 The mares are all bred to Panfield, Triumph, a young on of Mentor, or to a stud we call Sunny, he being out of one of our better mares nd the sire of the colt which was given in the Colt Contest. The yearlings and wo year olds are all sired by these studs. Being primarily interested in securing homes for these anim s where they will be appreciated and taken care of we will endeavor to work out t nsportation arrange- Ments for a group of animals going to the same general localit We will be pleased to furnish any other information desired, but ish to emphasize that these Morgans should be seen by prospective p chasers to be prey ted. She bucked a few times, crow-hopped and cantered and then, of her own volition circled the high- fenced enclosure at a spanking trot. Barefooted she was but her high square action was truly show ring stuff. Blocky of body, fine of neck, jowl and head she was a picture Morgan, a thing to stir the cockles of the heart of any one with a sense of Morgan appreciation. "How much?" asked the potential buyer and then gulped when the breeder quoted a figure. He climbed into his car and left soon after. We had watched this bit of sales display and when it was over we walked over to the breeder, Ted Davis of Windsor, Vt. "You must watch those quota- tions, Ted," we cautioned him.
