201228 – Belthazar V22.6 – Uffe Under consideration by HCL – final model subject to change Copyright © 2020 HCL Technologies Limited | www.hcltechsw.com ENTERPRISE CCB licensing fundamentals ... CCB Authorized Users What is the CCB and CCX license metric ? • We've always been about Authorized Users - never "active users", "concurrent users" or otherwise (except for the very special IBM CEO case.) Lucy • Always a count of unique credentials to access the software - not if the credentials are ever used ! Mark • From the CCB v11.0.1 License Information*: “Authorized User (“A/U”) is a unit of measure by which the Program can be licensed. An A/U is a unique person** provided with credentials to access the Program ... An entitlement for an A/U is unique to that user and may not be shared, nor may it be reassigned other than for People and Tasks the permanent transfer of the A/U entitlement to another person.” full function access • In cases, where the Licensee’s Enterprise have multiple isolated domains and a particular user needs to exist in more domains, as long as the username is identical across domains, this users is considered one A/U. GUESTS How are CCB/CCX users counted ? - entitled with CCB • Administrators simply count the entries in the Domino Directories/linked LDAPs permitting users to log-in: ü Count entries/LDAP tagged as “external” as the CCX user count and deduct this number from the total number of entries which becomes the CCB count. ü The Denied Access List is excluded from the counts. ü CCB and CCX can reside on same server or as administrator decides – counting is always across all Domino Directories in the Licensee’s enterprise. NN1, NN2 ... NNx ü CCB includes an unlimited entitlement for Guest users. If logged-in / Known Guests user credentials are included in the Domino Directories tagged as “guest” Anonymous they are excluded from CCB/CCX counts. • No employee or contractor in the Licensee’s Enterprise can be CCX or Guest, but must have a CCB entitlement for access. Restricted web users: • The current Domino License Tracker tool will for v12 produce an internal report to assist you with compliance – report is not automatically shared with HCL! Anonymous & Known What is included with CCB and what are add-ons ? EXTERNAL • CCB licensing includes entitlement to HCL SafeLinx 1.1 for all CCB servers and CCB/CCX users as well as limited use Sametime and Connections Files & CCX A/U (CCB add-on) Profiles for all CCB users. Add-ons now are: ü Sametime V11.5 Premium at attractive price on a per-user base ü Domino Volt for the entire platform (all CCB) users at a simple uplift (also extends to all CCX/Guest users for no additional charge – within CCX/Guest scope). ü CCX on a per external user basis Phil • Domino Volt adds HCL Enterprise Integrator and HCL SAP Connector entitlement for all CCB servers when upgraded with Domino Volt ! Jill

External, non-employees using apps & workflows * All License Information can be found here ==> https://hcltechsw.com/wps/portal/resources/license-agreements ** A “person” or “persons” in the License Information refer to physical individuals or tasks provided access to the Program

Copyright © 2020 HCL Technologies Limited | www.hcltechsw.com 201208 – RNUG Licensing V22.8 – Uffe / 17 ENTERPRISE Managing what users can do ... CCB Authorized Users

What is a CCB user permitted to do ? (Everything – Business As Usual) • CCB users are entitled to all aspects of Domino applications and enterprise e-mail and add-ons (per other questions) Lucy • No license restrictions on what users are permitted to do: CCB users can create and participate in apps to any level set by the app administrators. Mark How do you restrict CCX and Guest users’ access to apps ? (Must be managed by Administrator) People and Tasks • Based on the Domino “Access Control List” (ACL) - all Domino databases/applications have an ACL which map access levels to users. The access level is full function access a classification limiting which tasks a user can perform in the - Manager, Editor, Author, Reader, Depositor, No Access (labels, not verbatim). • The ACL is set by the app administrator/developer for individual or groups of users. To fully understand ACL use cases, refer to the product documentation. GUESTS - entitled with CCB Why is an anonymous Guest permitted ACL level up through Author ? • Anonymous Guests are web users, who beyond browsing a web site are permitted actions like submitting a “Contact” form, participation in a web “Survey”, to post anonymous blog content, etc. • "Author" access is typically assigned to users who need to contribute documents to a Domino database (like CCX users) - however, being anonymous, NN1, NN2 ... NNx they can not edit any content, nor access individualised content. Anonymous Why is a Known Guest permitted ACL level up through Reader ? • Known Guests authenticating with HTTP/LDAP are typically a dynamic, ever increasing volume of users visiting your web site, registering to gain access to Restricted web users: community content, special interest forums, initiating workflows, etc. Anonymous & Known • Known Guests are externals with limited use rights, and not permitted for any Employee or contractor in the Licensee’s Enterprise! EXTERNAL • "Reader" access is typically assigned to users who are only permitted to read documents in a database and/or controlled creation of documents by using public access forms. CCX A/U (CCB add-on) • Any external users needing higher level of access, must have a CCX entitlement. Why is a CCX user permitted ACL level up through Author ? • CCX users can fully participate in, and use (not create) Domino apps and workflows (including Domino Volt if added to CCB.) Phil Jill • “Author” access is typically assigned to users who need to contribute documents to a Domino database – and authenticated users can edit their own or other designated content. External, non-employees • CCX is for authenticated, external users only and not permitted for any Employee or contractor in the Licensee’s Enterprise! using apps & workflows

Copyright © 2020 HCL Technologies Limited | www.hcltechsw.com 201208 – RNUG Licensing V22.8 – Uffe / 18 ENTERPRISE Upgrading from older licensing to CCB ... CCB Authorized Users I have a current Domino license - how do I get the new CCB/CCX terms ? • Depends on your current licensing – first get to CCB, then acquire needed CCX entitlements: Lucy ü If you're already on CCB licensing, you acquire the needed CCX entitlements and you're done ! Mark ü If you’re on other per/user licensing (IBM CEO, Collaboration Express) you can renew this licensing on attractive terms as a CCB entitlement ü If you’re on client/server type licensing (Enterprise CAL/Enterpriser Server PVU) you can in many cases renew this licensing on attractive terms as CCB People and Tasks ü If you're under Messaging only licensing, consider upgrading to CCB and adding Domino Volt for lo-code support to your organization. full function access • Also remember, current licensing can be renewed as-is with all current restrictions and compliance requirements - contact your HCL Business Partner or HCL Sales Representative for further discussion. GUESTS I have an earlier Domino version installed - how do I technically switch to CCB/CCX ? - entitled with CCB • When new CCB licensing replace an active Domino Term License or Subscription & Support, CCB provides the entitlement that was in place. • To support the user constituents, you may need both CCB/Guest and CCX entitlements to match your current use cases, but you can continue to use deployed software if entitlements are matched. In case of overlap in an upgrade period, see "Overlapping licenses” below. NN1, NN2 ... NNx License overlap: I have current perpetual Enterprise CAL/Server PVU and want to start new projects under CCB/CCX ? Anonymous • You can always add CCB/CCX term licenses to any configuration. You just need to observe coexistence rules: ü New servers running under CCB can only serve the CCB/CCX/Guest users - no existing client license permit CCB server access. Restricted web users: ü Any existing non-CCB servers on active Term or S&S can be accessed by CCB/CCX users and replication with CCB servers are permitted. Anonymous & Known

Copyright © 2020 HCL Technologies Limited | www.hcltechsw.com 201208 – RNUG Licensing V22.8 – Uffe / 19 ENTERPRISE Handling special use cases ... CCB Authorized Users I have applications running on one or more xWork licenses, what's next ? • While HCL permits you to renew xWork licensing as-is, we no longer sell new xWork server instances. Lucy • xWork is available and supported for Domino V10, but HCL is not planning any to package any newer versions as xWork. However, you can work with the Mark HCL Business Partner who provided your current license to explore upgrading to CCB/CCX for the future. I use Domino Utility / Utility Express Servers to host extranet/web applications, what should I do ? People and Tasks full function access • While HCL permits you to renew any Domino Utility/Utility Express Server licensing as-is, we no longer sell new/additional server PVU entitlements. • To eliminate PVU management, consider using CCB/CCX licensing. GUESTS ü If you’re uniquely hosting anonymous browser access to information, this use case is already included via Guest users with CCB. - entitled with CCB ü For an extranet/Business-2-Business setup, consider CCX for the external users needing full use of applications. ü For occasional/transient, limited function external users: if they do not already qualify as Known Guests (included with CCB), then consider customising the app for the permitted use cases for logged-in / Known Guests.

I just need a Domino server for apps, no mail or other features ? NN1, NN2 ... NNx • Mail routing is intrinsic to Domino and to many apps that run on the platform. For simplicity, full mail functionality is included with CCB and Anonymous functional/workflow mail is included with CCX. You don’t have to use the mail functionality, but it is part of your entitlement.

• CCB also entitle the use of the HCL Verse mail on any browser, including mobile apps for iOS and Android devices Restricted web users: Can I still just license Mail ? Anonymous & Known • The mail-only licensing of Messaging CAL/Messaging Server PVU, Messaging Express will remain as such. However, you can fully upgrade your mail entitlements with CCB/CCX and include Domino Volt to gain significant additional value for your users. EXTERNAL CCX A/U (CCB add-on)
