ITEM 3 (391) DECLARATION OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS None

th ITEM 4 (392) The minutes of the meeting on 6 ​ July 2010 were approved and signed. ​

ITEM 5 (393) POLICE MATTERS PC Goulding sent in his report. There have been no reported crimes in the area for the last 90 days. Over the next few months there will be increased activity in Hensol Forest near as the Forestry Commission make every effort to contain Sudden Oak Death which has taken hold.

ITEM 6 (394) MATTERS ARISING (373) Work on improved access for horses and the disabled into Hensol Forest at the picnic area has been completed (379) It was noted work had been done on Watery Lane to repair potholes

ITEM 7 (395) HIGHWAY MATTERS It was noted a 30mph electronic speed warning sign had been put up on the A4222 at Maendy and is now in operation. Concern was expressed about the condition of the barn on Watery Lane between the turning to Caer Caddy and Germonds Farm. The Vale will be notified as it could collapse into the highway.

ITEM 8 (396) REPORT FROM RHODRI TRAHERNE Community Councillors were brought up to date with matters at the Vale, including recycling kitchen waste, finance and planning. He urged the Council to continue putting pressure on the Vale to repair roads in the Welsh St Donats area.

ITEM 9 (397) REPORTS FROM REPRESENTATIVES Hall Committee: Bill Fawcett reported the new windows and double doors in the Hall were now installed and the Committee were putting together an application for an Inspire Grant to extend and refurbish the kitchen. It was agreed that a letter from the Council giving its support to the project should accompany the application. One Voice : Andrew Foyle attended the last meeting

ITEM 12 (400) FINANCE MATTERS Payments approved for:­ a) TTWC (£509.96) was approved for cuts in September. Payments for cuts in July and August made as agreed at the last meeting were noted by the Council. b) A bursary was received from OVW reducing fees for a training day to be attended by Andrew Foyle. A previously approved cheque for £25.00 was cancelled and another cheque was approved for (£12.50). c) WSD PCC Churchyard maintenance grant (£1,000.00) It was agreed that TTWC would be paid at the end of October and for any additional cuts that were necessary in November, the Clerk will notify Bill Fawcett of the amounts. The amounts and cheques would be recorded at the next meeting.

ITEM 13 (401) CURRENT AND FUTURE PROJECTS Log book for the pond was signed for July, August and September It was agreed that Bill Fawcett would complete this each month till the January meeting. th Pond: a pond working party was arranged for Sunday 10 ​ October at 11.00pm ​ It was noted that grass cuttings were being left on the grass in the Churchyard and around the pond, TTWC to be informed.

ITEM 14 (402) MATTERS FOR COMMUNITY LIAISON COMMITTEE a) the condition of the civic amenity site at Llandow was postponed to the next meeting in the light of various developments

ITEM 15 (403) DOCUMENTS DISCUSSED a) motions for debate at One Voice Wales AGM were discussed and comments were noted for AGM, to be attended by Andrew Foyle.
