Hillbilly D ‘lux Playin’ yer pappys and yer youngins country favoritz

Howdy,

This package is to introduce you to our band. Hillbilly D’lux is a five piece nonstop, high- energy band that plays classic and contemporary Country covers. Also we perform several of our original country songs. We are made up of seasoned professionals with many years experience playing in and around the greater Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area. Featured are four exceptional vocalists, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums, fiddle, harmonica and keyboards. Included in our ranks are a Nashville Recording Artist and a member who has performed on several National and International music CD’s.

The band is extremely versatile, with an extensive repertoire of great ranging from classic country favorites from the legends to some of the latest Country superstars, as our motto reflects “Playin’ Yer Pappys And Yer Youngins Country Favoritz”. We customize the music for every event to accommodate specific requests. To insure the best quality sound, we are constantly updating our equipment. Rehearsals are held regularly to keep up to date with the most current music. Our musicians and vocalists are the same at each performance, which keeps our sound consistent. We start on time, play longer sets and play right until the end. We also provide our own lighting and high quality sound system.

Although Hillbilly D'lux has been performing together for a relatively short time, we have achieved the same tightness as other bands with much longer time together. Many of Hillbilly D'lux members have previously performed with each other in former bands.

Unlike entertainment agencies that represent multiple bands there is only one Hillbilly D’lux and we are independent of all agencies.

Please view our demo DVD (it’s made up of performances recorded at the Mt. Airy Resort) while you review the other materials about the band. In the meantime, feel tree to call us with any questions or comments you may have. Also, if you have any immediate needs do not hesitate to contact us; we will always do our best to accommodate our preferred venues.

Thank you for your interest,

Hillbilly D’Iux

About HBD

Alecia, our lead singer, has been singing since she was able to walk. At about age 5, her parents enter her in her first beauty pageant, where she competed in singing and modeling. This she did until the age of 18. It was then Alecia joined her first band along with two of our best friends and with her brother Austin, who she describes as an awesome drummer. At age 23, Alecia found success becoming the new lead singer of “Flaxy Morgan” and performed with them for 4 great years.

Opportunities in Nashville arrived in the summer of 2005 where, staying on Music Row, she learned what “Nashville” is all about. Alicia’s biggest influence growing up was Elvis. Some of her other favorites are, Reba McIntyre, Martina McBride, and Whitney Houston. Currently Alecia is working on a solo project of her own originals with Brett Alexander of the Badlees and hopes to have a finished product within the next few months.

“I have done so many wonderful things in music in my life.” “Hillbilly D’lux, now here are some real country boys who know how to kick ass.” “I feel very honored that I am now a part of this band and I know without a doubt this is gonna be an awesome chapter in my life.

I just love country music....It is part of who I am and what I'll always do.”

Bruce U.S. Marshall is the driving percussionist behind Hillbilly D’lux. Bruce started playing drums at young age. Throughout his life, he has played just about every type of music (except rap & metal). Bruce has played most of the clubs in the area and catering halls.

For approximately the last 9 years, he has played with silent thunder and enjoyed every time they went out. I have met so many great folks that we have met and have played in many great places. (Wachovia arena, opened for , Knobel’s Grove and the list goes on). Country music fans appear to be the most loyal out there.

Bruce’s choice of drums: Ludwig natural maple, chrome snare, Ziljian cymbals, along with Roland electronic drums. With sound www.hillbillydlux.8m.com  [email protected] 570-540-9254 Hillbilly D ‘lux Playin’ yer pappys and yer youngins country favoritz

equipment by Crown, DOD, Mackie, Samson, TCE, Carvin and Shure and Cerwin Vega and more, it gives HBD its quality sound.

When not performing, Bruce likes to Spend time working’ on and cruisin’ in his classic corvette and having some somewhat quiet family time.

Phil, “Phil Harmonica" or "Fiddlin' Phil". When you hear that fiddle break, the harmonica wail, the ticklin’ of the keys or hear that harmony, ya know Phil's on stage. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and his musical background spans over four decades. Phil's biggest influences include Charlie Daniels, Charlie McCoy, Willie Nelson and of course "my Dad's love of country music" (also a harmonica player).

Joe Pacuska, the multi talented fiddler for "Abilene", was also a big inspiration. Phil asked him one night if he could teach him to play the fiddle. He told him that he doesn't teach, that if someone wanted to play bad enough, they would, and he did.

Phil played with several local bands that include: Country Classics, Record Shop, Covertoons, the Honky-Tonk Heart Band (which later became the Coyotes), Sundance, Roadhouse, Bluestone and Silent Thunder. During this time he also did several studio jobs including several with Pete St. James (of Dakota, Stonebridge and Riverside fame). Phil has also played with bands in California, Texas and Italy while in the USAF.

Recently Phil was on stage with world renowned Fingerstyle Guitarist "David Paul", at Miseracordia. He has also played harmonica on several of David's CD which include: "It's Showtime", "Reflections" and "Stradivarius in the Closet"

Marc “Z” is the lead guitarist for “Hillbilly D’lux”. "This band has some former band mates and some new ones". His musical career started at age 6, as a singer on yesterday’s American Idol, the original Ted Mack Amateur Hour. "I lost to the cordine (accordion) player". Since age 16 Mark have been playing guitar in all styles of music. His favorite is Country Rock.

Mark has been in several local bands throughout the years playing Rock, Country, Jazz and Blues. Some of the bands he has worked with

www.hillbillydlux.8m.com  [email protected] 570-540-9254 Hillbilly D ‘lux Playin’ yer pappys and yer youngins country favoritz are: Covertoons (in the 80’s), Crossover and Naked Face playing Rock and Country and a four year run as lead guitarist for Roadhouse.

Mark has also had the opportunity to open for such great groups as: Three Dog Night, Dion and the Belmont’s, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry and . "Meeting some of the members of those groups was really great".

Mark uses Fender and Marshall Amps, ESP and Fender Guitars. Mark say's "Hope you will all come out to hear this new project".

Herman plays bass guitar and provides the thunderous bottom for Hillbilly D'lux. He is a "seasoned" musician with a background in classic rock, country rock, country, and even a little . Former musical projects include Covertoons, Crossover, Jukebox Saturday Nite, Pammy Jo and the Hitmen, Cold Shot, and most recently The Covers.

A poet once said that a painter paints his pictures on a canvas, but a musician paints his picture on silence. Music is somewhat a magical thing. If everything goes right, you are actually able to help people forget about their troubles, even for a little while. It just doesn’t get any better than that!!!
