3 WHAT WE DO

PROGRAM MODEL Global Glimpse is a two year program during the junior and senior year of high school. We engage high school juniors in a year-long preparatory curriculum at their school that culminates in a 3 week immersion in a developing country. Diversity is at the core of our education model and our students travel in groups that are socioeconomically, racially, and ethnically diverse. Students return home to practically apply lessons from their experience abroad to college and beyond through a follow-on “Alumni Ambassador” leadership program during their senior year.

Our program motivates students to excel academically and provides them with practical knowledge and inter-personal skills that support them to be resilient through the challenging transition to college. We use a sliding scale fee-for-service model to make experiential education abroad accessible to New Chicago York students from all socioeconomic San Francisco backgrounds. Over 80% of our operating Bay Area costs are covered by program fees.

OUR GROWTH # of Students served annually (2008-2016) Since 2008, Global Glimpse has served over 2700 students and 270 educators across 50 high schools in the and New York, and fve college preparatory organizations nationally.

9 OUR EDUCATORS

VITO CHIALA Principal, Overfelt High School (San Jose, CA) “I have seen a profound impact in both the maturity and leadership ability of my students who participate in Global Glimpse. Many of the highest achieving students from top high schools won’t even have the breadth of experiences and skills that these students have when they enter college. Global Glimpse provides students with an expanded world view and develops the compassion within them that our next generation needs to succeed as young global leaders.”
