ADR and Sport Law Experience: -1973-1985 –was on retainer to the National Sport and Recreation to provide legal advice to national sports governing bodies; -1993 – acted as counsel for Canadian Curling Association (CCA) at arbitration hearing in Nova Scotia where athlete appealed the CCA’s decision to suspend him from World Junior Curling Team;

-have acted as counsel for both sides on disputes between athletes and sport governing bodies concerning eligibility for National Teams or Olympic Teams; -1998 – was appointed Director under Child and Family Services Act by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services to conduct a review (which took form of an arbitration hearing) of Children’s Aid Society decision not to place a child with maternal grandparents; -2002 – acted as counsel for Canadian Curling Association at 3 day ADR-SPORT-RED arbitration (Professor Richard McLaren) in Vancouver where a curling team appealed CCA’s interpretation of Team’s eligibility for National Team status and AAP funding; -2003 – appointed Director under Child and Family Services Act by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children’s Services to review Children’s Aid Society’s decision not to place a child for adoption. -participated in many mandatory mediation sessions in course of litigation practice
