RE: Operating at Nauset Beach

Dear Mr. Quigley,

My office has verbally attempted to secure your voluntary compliance with the Parks & Beaches Rules and Regulations that prohibit any commercial activities, which includes private surfing camps/schools or lessons from being conducted anywhere on Nauset Beach which is owned by the Town of Orleans.

Effective immediately, you are hereby prohibited from conducting any surfing related business activities Nauset Beach, which includes the use of the bathing beach parking lot or the over sand vehicle trails.

Any further violations of the Rules & Regulations will result in a fine and revocation of your Town of Orleans beach parking and/or over-sand beach permits for the remainder of the 2016 season.

Day Camp at Cape Cod Surf Camp is all about having fun while challenging ourselves to learn and progress in the art of surfing. Just ask around...everyone loves our day camp, especially the parents!

$450 per week (4-day program) In-depth surf education training for motivated surfers $225 deposit required to reserve your spot Learn important info for surfing safely on your own For kids ages 9 to 16 years old Make friends you'll end up surfing with every summer Snacks, water and ALL equipment provided 3 to 1 student to teacher ratio Bring bathing suit, sunblock, towel, change of clothes CPR and certified instructors

The camp is a mobile camp...we go where the best conditions are for the day!

We operate out of the patio at the Land Ho Restaurant, at 38 Main st. Orleans, which is owned by the family of camp founder Dillon Murphy.

By meeting in the center of Orleans and transporting surfers from there, we are able to avoid the hassles of drop-off and pick-up such as beach parking costs.

WHERE DO The lessons and surf camp locations will depend on the surf conditions, though we generally YOU TEACH surf at Nauset Public Beach in Orleans, Nauset Outer Beach in Orleans and Marconi Beach in LESSONS AND Wellfleet. CAMP, AND CAMP: Once signed up for surf camp, you will receive a notification email including the start time of the camp. Campers always meet at the Land Ho! restaurant in Orleans before heading WHERE DO to the beach, but the beach location of camp can change daily. WE MEET?

July 6, 2014 LESSONS: Like camp, surf lessons will also be at whichever beach makes the most sense based on conditions and access. Meeting place for lessons is generally at the beach we identify for your lesson, unless otherwise agreed upon, and this information will be communicated to you via phone or email once you've signed up.

HOW OLD DO For our day camps, the required ages are 9-16, and the participant must be comfortable in the YOU HAVE TO water and have basic swimming skills. For lessons, we will teach anyone at any age as long as they can swim, but anyone under the age of 7 must have a one-on-one lesson. BE FOR CAMP AND LESSONS?

WHAT WHAT Safety is our first priority, so we will cancel/postpone/reschedule lessons and camp if it’s HAPPENS IF necessary. We will not go out in thunder/lightning storms, heavy fog, or if the waves are too big. That being said, we WILL go out if it’s just rain showers and/or cloudy...you will be
