As a member of the West Sub-Area Planning Committee, the Mayor reserved the right to change his view on an application in light of additional information at the time of the Cornwall Council Planning Committee meeting.

Councillor R J L Boase gave a presentation outlining the proposal.

It was proposed by Councillor R J L Boase, seconded by the Chair, and unanimously

RESOLVED – that the Town Council recommended refusal of Application PA20/07797 as:

a) Members could see no grounds to justify the lifting of the Section 106 Agreement and felt the requirement for housing for local people was still necessary; and b) the Application was not in line with the National Planning Policy Framework.

i) Works to Trees The Deputy Town Clerk advised that notifications had been received for works to trees within the Conservation Area at 94 Meneage Street and 28 Meneage Road. She advised that Cornwall Council had decided both Applications shortly after sending the Town Council the notifications which had not allowed sufficient time for the Town Council’s comments to be submitted.
