Thurs Nutrition and Fitness for Better Health 1st Dore Methodist Church Hall 7.00pm – 9.00pm Are you someone who struggles with your energy levels? Do you often feel tired and lethargic, particularly mid-afternoon? Or you feel bloated around the middle? Do you struggle with putting together quick, east and cheap meals for your family? Do you struggle to get your teenagers to eat healthily, or even relatively healthily? Alison Lawton has put together an informal session to help you learn how to combat the above. Thurs ‘Spiderwalk’ 1st A fun-fuelled, 13 mile half marathon hike through the peaks at night to raise money for some incredible charities. Featuring a bar, BBQ and live music at Hall Farm half way point the event is bigger and better than ever and will be raising money for some incredible local charities. PLUS your ticket includes your food, hi-vis jacket, map, entry to the live music and runner number and registration for the event, what a bargain! Thurs Sheffield Ship Model Society: Sail at Pond (Yachts, Fast Electric boats and Scale Models) 1st Millhouses Park Pond Start 9.00am Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, usually from about 9am and we tend to finish once the paddle boats start coming on. Sat Friends of Millhouses Park: Autumn Birdwatching Walk 3rd Meet at the foot of the steps into Millhouses Park from Archer Road at 8:00 A gentle walk through the park to Tyzack's Dam returning through part of Ecclesall Woods. The walk should take about two and a half hours. All are welcome and there will be pairs of binoculars to lend out on the day.

Sat Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust: Volunteer work day on Blacka Moor 3rd Blacka Moor is on the A625 out of Sheffield a few hundred yards on the left before Fox House. 10am – 3pm Practical volunteer days at Blacka Moor are held on the first Saturday and third Thursday every month. Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management. Gloves, tools, and refreshments are provided, but wear suitable outdoor clothes and boots, and bring some lunch and drinking water if you're able to come for the whole day. Sun Remembrance 11th St. Augustine’s Church, Brocco Bank The church will be open from 9.30 until 2.30pm for people to follow a self guided tour around our First world War memorials of which there are several including a chance screen and elaborate font cover. We have undertaken some research about the members of our parish who died in the war and where they lived. We are going to invite the people who now live in those houses now to view the plaques which contain the names of the soldiers.
