Supplies Needed: • Two pieces of canvas, two inches larger than your embroidery hoop • Ribbon for hanging • Plastic canvas to stabilize chair signs • Embroidery thread • Downloads for your machine and hoop size
Fabric and Notions: • Approximately 1/2 yard of print cotton fabric • 12” square of white felt • Thread • Scissors • Plastic canvas 6” circle (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Hoop Canvas and Embroider • Hoop the canvas securely and choose color 1 for the lettering (together or forever).
Step 2: Placement Line • Change the embroidery thread color to match the fabric. • Sew the placement line.
Step 3: Tape Ribbon Holder • Measure the ribbon the length you would like for the hanging sign. • Tape the ribbon to the top of the placement line with the ribbon ends facing out.

Step 4: Place Fabric Backing • Place the fabric backing over the embroidery, right sides together.
Step 5: Sew Down Fabric Backing • Repeat with sewing color 2 to sew down the fabric backing.
Step 6: Remove and Trim • Remove from the hoop and trim around all four sides. • Turn right side out.
Step 7: Insert Plastic Canvas • Using the sign as your guide, cut a piece of plastic canvas 1/4 the height of your finished sign and 7/8 the width of your finished sign. • Fold the plastic canvas in half and insert through the opening.
Step 8: Hand Sew the Opening • Hand sew the opening closed.
