BART Silicon Valley Extension Project DIRIDON STATION FACT SHEET

Overview VTA is committed to delivering the full 16-mile extension of the BART line to Santa Clara County, known as VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Extension. Project features planned for Phase II of the extension includes a 5.1-mile-long subway tunnel through downtown San Jose and four additional stations, including Alum Rock/28th Street, Downtown San Jose, Diridon, and Santa Clara. Construction of Phase II is anticipated to begin as additional funding is secured in 2019 based on the preliminary schedule. The is currently the central passenger rail depot for San Jose. It also serves as a transit hub for Santa Clara LEGEND County and the Silicon Valley. The station is served by , ACE, VTA light rail, and . This is in addition to bus services by STATION ENTRANCE OPTIONS UNDERGROUND STATION & , Amtrak Thruway Bus, Monterey-Salinas Transit, San Benito Transit, Santa Cruz Metro (), SYSTEM FACILITIES SMART, local VTA and employer shuttles and buses. The new BART Diridon Station is one of four stations that are part of the six-mile ABOVE GROUND SYSTEMS FACILITIES

Phase II extension of the project. VTA is currently considering two location options with the same station features. The Diridon Station PUBLIC FACILITY/ VTA'S TRANSIT-ORIENTED is planned to be located just south of West Santa Clara Street, between Autumn Street and the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station.
