No matter where you are joining us from, whether you are new or returning, we are so pleased to welcome you to the Confederation College community. From the time you enter our doors to the moment you graduate, we will work diligently to meet your needs and help you put your dreams to work. A number of student support services are available to you including counselling and tutoring, and all of our staff are equally committed and ready to support you. I extend my warm and hearty welcome to all the students at Confederation College to a new academic year. My name is Kiran Ramesh and I consider myself privileged to welcome you as your Student Association (SUCCI) President here at Confederation College. I believe you had a different, yet a great summer keeping yourself and your family safe and healthy. I know many of you are going to have a new college experience and the rest are looking forward to continue your studies and graduate. However, regardless of if you are new or a returning student, this year is going to be remarkable. SUCCI is your student association and we offer you a number of exciting and important activities and services. SUCCI is not just about fun but learning too. SUCCI encourages and supports students to form and participate in clubs on campus. Clubs enhance student life by providing: recreation, athletic, fi tness, performance, cultural, social and educational opportunities. Funding is available through SUCCI to support clubs. Sanctioned clubs will have space booked for them on campus by SUCCI and and may, if needed, access to Eventbrite to support events of their club. SUCCI supports two types of clubs: SPORT & GENERAL INTEREST Club packages are available at the SUCCI Offi ce, at SUCCI Stops or online at www.succi.com. The package outlines the steps to follow in order to create a club, and we are here to help. Wherever possible, SUCCI will attempt to match clubs with a suitable employee or alumni mentor who shares a common interest with the purpose of the club. MAKING A CLAIM What is a Claim Form? A claim form is a formal request for payment from the insurance company to cover medical expenses. The claim may be rejected, partially covered, or fully covered depending on the nature of the medical visit and limitations of the policy. In some cases, healthcare providers directly bill StudyInsured. In other cases, you may have to pay for the medical expenses upfront, and then submit a claim form to StudyInsured. Make sure to keep copies of all receipts to substantiate your claim. A copy of the claim form can be found on the same email as your policy e-Card. HOW CONFEDERATION COLLEGE WILL RESPOND The College understands that individuals who have experienced sexual violence may wish to control whether and how their experience will be dealt with by the College and/or by the police.
