Description of the golf venue:

The Estonian Golf & Country Club (EGCC) comprises the 18-hole Championship Sea Course and 9- hole links-style Stone Course. EGCC is situated in Jõelähtme, only 25 kilometres from Tallinn city centre.

Estonian Golf & Country Club was opened in 2005, is regarded as Estonia’s finest golf venue and has now taken its rightful place in Golf World Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 European Courses, a spectacular achievement for a venue in an emerging golf nation. Estonian Golf & Country Club is a member of European Tour Properties - network of World Class Golf Venues which all have a close association with The European Tour, one of the game’s foremost organizations.

The Sea Course with its 18 holes stretching over 7,000 yards, is a true championship golf course. Holes built among unspoiled forests reach out to the beach and to the Jägala River. Natural ponds, ancient oak trees and large pre-historic stones lining the fairways, fabulous sea view and rolling hills with difference of heights up to 40 meters make the course enjoyable. With its length and complexity, the Sea Course is a real challenge even for low-handicap golfers. The Sea Course has hosted Omega Mission Hills World Cup European Qualifier in 2009 and 2011. PAR 72, 6462 meters.

The 9-hole Stone Course lies on a limestone plain between junipers, restored stone fences and protected national heritage where each hole has a story to tell. The course is open to the winds and imparts a real British links feeling. However, like many ancient cites and archaeological finds in Estonia, the stone course tells of a history dating back over 5000 years. PAR 36, 2903 meters.

In May 2015 the EGCC had the honor to host Annika Sörenstam, widely regarded as the greatest female golfer of all time, who is to design her first golf course in Europe, at Estonian Golf & Country Club. New ANNIKA® Course, as well as the 5-star hotel and spa, will be opened in 2019.
