If you’re a Pinot noir lover, you already know that is on your bucket list. Home to some of the most awarded wineries and winemakers in the world, this small area punches well above its weight on the global scale.

There is something magic about Central … the pull of the mountains, the entrepreneurial people who are drawn here, the minerality of the soil and the extremes of the seasons that create such fascinating food and wine. We are proud to sit within such an exciting, evolving community and share with you Gibbston’s stories and magic.

Kinross was first established by Thomas Kinross in 1881 when he set up a farm and trading supply company on this very site. Today, Kinross is a 40-acre, family run vineyard that includes our stunning boutique vineyard cottages, bistro and cellar door.

We are a boutique hotel with 14 beautifully appointed natural cottages nestled in the vines, where you can stay, taste and explore the Gibbston region, beautiful in any season.

We have a range of facilities on site to suit small group meetings, a great indoor space for functions, and a range of unique outdoor vineyard pergolas for informal group occasions as well as our famous covered wine garden.
