Notes: • Sean Farrell became the second player in USHL history to eclipse the 100-point mark in a single season with three helpers on Saturday night. The Harvard University-bound forward closes the year as the USHL scoring champion with 101 points (29G, 72A) in 53 games played. Lincoln’s Kevin Roy registered 104 points in 59 games played, six more than Farrell, during the 2011-2012 season. • The Chicago Steel closed the 2020-2021 regular season with its eighth consecutive victory, a 5-1 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday night at Fox Valley Ice Arena … Chicago finished the regular season with a 5-4-1-0 record in 10 meetings against the Lumberjacks … In the victory, the Steel penalty kill charted a perfect 3-for-3 (100%) performance while the power play unit went 1-for-4 (25.0%) … The Steel outshot Muskegon 25-22 in the win. • Chicago finished with the top four points scorers in the league (Sean Farrell – 101, Matt Coronato – 85, Josh Doan – 70, Erik Middendorf – 68), including the leader in goals (Coronato – 48), assists (Farrell – 72, USHL record) and points (Farrell, 101). • Matt Coronato finished his record-setting campaign with a pair of markers. The Huntington, N.Y., native finishes the regular season with 85 points (48G, 37A) and the most goals in a single- season in Steel history. • Erik Middendorf finished tied for second in the league in goals scored after picking up his 32nd tuck of the year on Saturday. • Andon Cerbone tallied his second goal of the season, adding to his total of seven points (2G, 5A) in 30 games played. • Defenseman David Ma scored his third goal of the year in the win. He finishes his first regular season in the USHL with 11 points (3G, 8A) in 38 appearances. • Jackson Blake, Adam Robbins and Sam Lipkin each picked up helpers in the win. • Nick Haas turned away 21 shots and posted an assist in his first start since February 27, earning his 11th victory of the season between the Steel pipes.
