Southern Care Service Cooperative (SCSC) in Aguinaldo St., , Davao Oriental, extended help to 320 beneficiaries consisting of members, selected non- members and employees, by providing rice and cash assistance charged to its CDF, totaling P456,000.00. Optional Fund was also utilized in the amount of P140,000.00 and distributed to 54 beneficiaries on May 2, 2020.

1CISP supports RXI employees, members and frontliners amidst COVID19 pandemic

In this trying time of COVID 19 pandemic, ICMIF member 1CISP (1 Co- operative Insurance System of The ) continues to support its employees, members and frontliners.

Despite the lockdown, employees are working from home and using online apps and services to communicate with members. DigiCoop, a fintech platform partly owned by 1CISP, is being introduced to allow online transactions such as lending, money transfers and payment of premiums and claims. This is a pioneering

3 | Page initiative in the Philippines that 1CISP introduced, together with a blockchain company, to digitalize the processes of Philippine cooperatives.

For Life Operations, 1CISP has confirmed that health and death claims due to COVID 19 will be covered. For Non-life Operations, all policies expiring April 2020 shall be renewed automatically pending issuance of corresponding renewal policies. Loan payments will be deferred for 60 days to give temporary relief to members. In Region XI alone, 45,000 members are insured with free covid insurance worth P50,000.00.

1CSIP also joined Region XI Cooperative Development Council (RCDC XI) in its efforts to distribute PPEs, face shields, surgical face masks and kits to frontline staff in their fight against COVID 19.

DCCPEC Continues to Share

The Davao Coca-Cola Plant Employees Cooperative (DCCPEC) MPC located at Ulas, , continued to share their blessings to the frontliners in this time of health crisis. Food packs and coca-cola products were distributed by the DCCPEC officers to the frontliners stationed at checkpoints in TF Davao, GTH, Lubogan and Puan. They also took part in the efforts of Region XI Cooperative Development Council (RCDC XI) by donating Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00) to be given to identified frontliners-beneficiaries of the region.
