Hangar Door Cinema thanks you for your interest in participating in the 2016 Talkeetna Adventure . To us, adventure is defined as “an exciting or dangerous experience”, or “an undertaking involving unknown risk”, which could range anywhere from a bicycle trek across the arctic to living off the grid. Life is an Adventure, and we want to see yours!

We invite creative submissions from filmmakers of every caliber and age level. Entries may be , documentary, narrative fiction, or art .

Below are guidelines and requirements, as well as a registration form. Please contact the DAC office at [email protected] or (907)-733-7929 with questions or concerns.

Specs:

• Must be filmed in Alaska. Portions may be filmed outside of the state, but over 50% of the footage must be Alaskan. • Each film should be 8 minutes or less, unless extended length is pre-approved • Up to 2 entries per person are accepted, but must be submitted individually. • All submissions must fall under the description of PG-13 or less. http://movies.about.com/od/miscellanous/f/film-ratings.htm • Entries are accepted in MP4 or MOV files or Internet link (URL). • Files may be submitted via DropBox account (name: [email protected]) or thumb drive. • The representative/owner of the film entry retains full ownership of the film. • Deadline for submissions is Saturday October 15th, 2016. Early submissions encouraged.

• Films will be screened and a selection will be chosen to make up about a 90- 120min. event. • You will be notified if your film is or is not part of the festival. • The Talkeetna Adventure Film is a fundraiser for Hangar Door Cinema. All proceeds from festival entry go to HDC and DAC. Format: We ask that each film be no larger than 1GB. BlueRay not accepted. Preferable formats include .mov, .mp4 or .avi (if you have other formats, please contact the DAC office). You may also submit films in file form (recommended) by a DropBox account name: [email protected], thumbdrive or DVD disc.
