1. Review of last Everyone agrees with the minutes from June 2015. meeting Action 5: Humza Yousaf added to the mailing list Action 9: Lack of services from GCC. Margaret raised issues at the South sector meeting. No feedback as yet. Action 11: Amendment – objection should read option.

2. Quad/Trail Gladsmuir Road – Quad bikes and trail bikes being used in green belt bikes area. Marie contacted police on a number of occasions but no action has been taken. Same issues arising in Penilee. Action: Margaret will speak to police about this matter.

3. Bins Overflowing bins, not being emptied regularly enough. Bins on Gladsmuir Road facing the wrong way, have to go onto the road to access the bin. Action: E-mail Paul McGrath about this and a letter will be sent to the councillors. If there are any issues to report, call 0141 287 9700.

4. Lanes Hillington Road South to Gladsmuir Road Queensland to Kingsland (2 lanes) Barshaw Road to Linburn Road (3 lanes) Litter and weeds a major problem. Action: Margaret will speak to Karen Gorman and raise these issues. E-mail will also be sent to Paul McGrath.

5. Gullies Sewage coming up through 3 public drains outside property on 45 Honeybogg Road. Drains are blocked with litter and leaves from an overhanging tree. have been called but no response. Council have to address this issue as this is an environmental problem. Action: Mary will e-mail and call environmental services. If no response, this will be sent to the councillors.

6. Bus Terminus Bus terminus is allegedly moving as new houses are being built. It will be moved from Gleddoch Road to outside the community centre. Action: Community Centre staff will check meetings in the centre. Margaret will call Alan about this.

7. Parking Corse Road, Penilee – people are parking on the pavement leaving no pram or wheelchair access. 4 wheels on pavement. Action: Police will be alerted to this.

8. Steering Group No hall suitable for clubs in the Hillington/ area. Meeting about this on Wednesday 16th September. Issue has been to the asset board, still to go to the advisory board. Southside Housing, GHA and Loretto have expressed interest in this. Action: Will have an update after the meeting.

9. Facebook Mark has now set up a Facebook page for the Hillington, North Cardonald and Penilee Community Council where information can now be posted.

10. Locked Gates Green area between Sandwood and Hillington Road South. Gates are locked at both sides, no access to this area. School is having works carried out and part of the school wall is being re-built. Public access is denied. Action: Margaret will e-mail Land and Environmental Services.

11. Overhanging Still an issue of an over-hanging tree. Destroying property. Tree Action: Mary will email Land and Environmental Services.

12. GHA Cleaning Four men cleaning close. Action: Margaret will email Joe.

13. Ward Local Government Boundary Commission for has proposed Boundaries changes to the ward boundaries. Our boundary remains the same, however if anyone wishes to see the changes made they can be found in the publication.

14. Police Public Counter Service Review Scotland The purpose of this questionnaire is to assist in an on-going Questionnaire evaluation of the changes implemented to the Front Counter Opening Hours in offices across Police Scotland. Margaret completed the applicable questions in the review and returned (29/7/15) on behalf of the Community Council.

15. Application Nature of Goods: Hot and Cold Food and Drinks for Renewal of Nature of Receptacle: Moveable Kiosk Street Traders Proposed Days and Hours: Mon to Fri – 7:00am to 2:30pm License Location: North Side of Fifty Pitches Place

No objections

16. Application Blue Sky for Grant of Late 2182 Paisley Road West Hours Catering Glasgow License G52 3SJ

Sunday to Thursday until 11:30pm Friday & Saturday until 12:30am No objections.

17. Alteration of It is proposed to relocate the existing stance situated on the east side Position of Taxi of Tweedsmuir Road to a new location on the north side of Paisley Stance Road West, to the east side of Tweedsmuir Road.

Objections had to be logged by 17th August 2015 and the Community Council didn’t reconvene until 14th September 2015.

18. Planning 2 Hillington Park Circus Re-roofing of an existing dwelling house including installation of roof lights. No objections.

21 Lednock Road Erection of two storey extension to rear of dwelling house. No objections.

19.Councillor Alex Following the recent by-election, Alex Wilson is now representing the Wilson (SNP) Craigton Ward.

20. Glasgow Learning Festival Disability Alliance 9th October 2015 9:15am – 4:00pm at the Thistle Hotel Cambridge Street Glasgow

This is a free event open to disabled people and people with long term health conditions. You do not have to be a member of GDA to attend. Different workshops from aromatherapy, mosaic making, bead craft…etc.

There is also an EGM of the company to be held in the same venue on the same day at 10am to update members on progress over the last year and to pass the proposed regulations.

21. Summer Summer Sessions Meeting Sessions Palace of Arts Tuesday 29th September at 1800 Mark and Margaret will attend this meeting

22. Discussion Community Council Discussion Group Group 40 John Street City Chambers Saturday 3rd October at 0900 – 1200 Mark and Margaret will attend this meeting

23. Bank Account Margaret Leitch and Mary D’Arcy visited the Bank of Scotland today. There have been many issues with signatories. Action: Margaret will speak to Stephen Dowling about auditing the account.

24.Communication Community Councillors meeting on Wednesday 30th September at 1900 in Penilee Community Hall to discuss newsletter, posters, leaflets and website.

The next meeting will be on Monday 12th October in Penilee Community Hall.
