Few theatregoers will forget her brilliant performances as �erafina Della Rose in "The Rose Tauoo" (for which she received the Critics' Award) and Lola in "Come Back Lillie Sheba." Jn addition, she has also appeared in produc­ t ions by Harvey Adams and Shakespearean performances with John Alden. Her work is known to radio audiences throughout Australia. She was presented with the Macquarie Award for her perform­ ance in "Genius At Home" in 1949. In this production of "The Shifting Heart" she will appear in the role of l'v!omma Bianchi.

Following five years' service in the A.I.F. he moved to Sydney and became one of the top freelance radio actors in this field. Com­ bined with his radio performances arc num· crable sLagc performances with the �lfincrva Theatre, as well as little theatre productions. Stratford director, Anthony Quayle, was so impressed with his portrayal of "'>\Tilly" in 1he production of "Death of a Salesman" 1hat he arranged for him to visit Stratford and play in the 1954 English season. On returning to Australia in I 955 he re­ sumed freelance radio and stage work, and received the 1956 Sydney Critics' Award for his performance in the Independent Theatre production of "Winter Journey".
