Friday, September 24

1:15 – 4:45 PM DMS SPECIAL MEDICAL EDUCATION SESSION Location: DHMC, Auditorium G, Lebanon, NH From I-89 Exit 18. Turn onto Route 120 North toward Hanover. Turn left at the traffic light at intersection of Lahaye Road and 120 (Centerra Commercial Park is on your right). At the next light, turn right and then the first left into the Lot 20-DHMC Employee Lot. Park your car in any available slot and walk to one of the booths on the perimeter. Take note of the number on the top of the booth in order to return to the same booth after the event.

Take the free shuttle to the hospital’s Cancer Center entrance. You’ll enter the hospital on the third floor. Turn right inside the Cancer Center entrance then take your first left (underneath the staircase) and head to the main rotunda/information desk area. At the main rotunda/information desk area turn left. Follow the signs to Auditorium E&F.

From Route 120 South (driving away from Hanover, toward Interstate I-89) On Route 120, turn right at traffic light at intersection of Lahaye and 120 (Centerra Commercial Park will be on your left.) Follow the rest of directions above.

1:00 – 400 PM AN AFTERNOON AT THE MONTSHIRE Location: One Montshire Road, Norwich, Vermont. Montshire is located off exit 13 (watch for the Montshire interstate sign), I-91 in Norwich, VT, five miles north of White River Junction, VT. It is directly across the Connecticut River from Hanover, NH, home of .

6:00 – 9:00 PM WELCOME RECEPTION Location: , Rope Ferry Road and Occum Pond To reach the DOC from the Hanover Inn, go east on East Wheelock Street for one block. Turn left on College Street. The Green will now be on your left. Go straight through the first stop sign. Turn left on Maynard Street. Take the next right onto Rope Ferry Road. Merge left when you reach the Hanover Country Club. The DOC will be on your left. Parking: Park around the circle perimeter or beyond the club at the end of the grass.

Saturday, September 25

9:00 AM GOLF – HANOVER COUNTRY CLUB Reserved times – Call the Alumni Office.

9:00 – 9:45 AM COFFEE AND CONVERSATION WITH THE DEAN Location: DHMC, Rubin Atrium, 6th Floor, Lebanon, NH Follow directions above for DHMC but instead of parking in employee parking lot, continue straight through first light on Lahaye Drive and follow signs to main entrance and patient/visitor parking areas. Go through main entrance to rotunda and turn right to Rubin elevators. Go to the 6th floor. Off elevator, turn right and walk directly into the atrium. ~ 1 ~

10:00 – 10:30 AM INDIVIDUAL CLASS MEETINGS Location: DHMC, Lebanon, NH Follow driving directions above to DHMC. Your welcome packet will have an agenda with specific meeting room and directions listed for your class. Locations will also be displayed at the Rubin Atrium during the dean’s coffee hour preceding the meetings.

10:15 – 11:15 AM PRESENTATION/TALK BY DR. JOHN WENNBERG Location: DHMC, Rubin Atrium Follow the same directions as the Coffee and Conversation above.

11:20 – 11:55 AM CLASS OF 1970 ROOM DEDICATION Location: DHMC, Rubin 4th Floor Classroom Wing Follow the same directions as the Coffee and Conversation above. Follow signs from there to the 4th Floor Classroom Wing

10:00 – 5:00 PM CANOE THE CONNECTICUT Location: Ledyard Canoe Club, Hanover To reach the Club from the Hanover Inn, head west on West Wheelock Street. Turn right at the bottom of Wheelock Street. This will be your last right before crossing the Connecticut River. Follow signs to the Canoe Club. When you arrive, tell them you want a canoe reserved by the DMS Alumni Reunion group. Have fun!

11:30 – 2:00 PM ALL CLASS AND FAMILY BARBECUE Location: Goldstein Lawn, McLaughlin Residential Cluster, Hanover Same location as the old hospital, locate the BBQ tent near Goldstein (part of Dartmouth’s new McLaughlin Residential Cluster). From the Hanover Inn, go east on East Wheelock Street for one block. Turn left on College Street. The Green will now be on your left. Go straight through the first stop sign. Turn left on Maynard Street and then turn right into the Rope Ferry Road parking lot. DMS Dean’s and Administrative Offices are located on the corner of Maynard and Rope Ferry Road.

12:00 PM FOOTBALL GAME: DARTMOUTH V. SACRED HEART Location: Memorial Field From the barbecue, you may walk to the field. Guests of the DMS Reunion will be sitting on the West side. Enter through the West entrance. Your reserved ticket will be in your welcome packet. You may also purchase tickets at the gate.

12:00 – 5:00 PM SATURDAY SOJOURNS, TREKS & ADVENTURES Before leaving on your excursion, please pick up pre-ordered boxed lunches at the BEMA.

Hike the Appalachian Trail – Holts Ledge, Lyme Location: , Lyme, NH Take Route 10 north from Hanover into Lyme. Coming around the green in Lyme, bear right at the white church and follow signs for Skiway. After passing through Lyme Center 1.8 miles from the Lyme Green, the road winds around for another 1.3 miles before reaching a fork in the road. Turn right and continue to park in the Dartmouth Skiway lot. Walk back to the fork and head left into the woods on the Appalachian Trail. (Separate hiking instructions will be in your welcome packet).

Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site Location: 139 Saint Gaudens Road, Cornish, NH From Hanover Inn head east on East Wheelock, keep going straight until you reach the intersection of Wheelock and Route 120 at a traffic light. Turn right (south) at the light on Route 120. Follow 120 past DHMC to I-89. Head North on I-89 at Exit 18. Take Exit 20 (West Lebanon) and turn left after exiting the off ramp. You will be heading south on N.H. 12A. You will pass Walmart on your left. Continue for several miles and look for signs to Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site which will be on the left side of the road. Telephone: 603-675-2175

Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park/Billings Farm and Museum Location: 54 Elm Street, Woodstock, VT Take Interstate 89 North into Vermont. Take Exit 1 (Woodstock-Rutland-Route 4). At bottom of ramp, turn left onto Route 4 West. Travel 10 miles to the Village Green. Turn right onto Rte. 12 and travel 1/2 mile out of town. Bear right onto River Road for main entrance. 6:30 – 9:30 PM CLASS DINNERS Location: Alumni Hall, Top of the Hop, Hanover, NH Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 15. Turn right off exit ramp and follow signs to Hanover. At second set of lights, the Inn is located on the right, corner of Wheelock and Main. Find parking on the streets of Hanover or the parking garage located on Lebanon Street. Walk to the Hopkins Center and take stairs to second floor to the “Top of the Hop.” A registration table will be located at the top of the stairs where the reception will take place. Alumni Hall is located to the right of the reception area. Follow signs to hallway to Alumni Hall.

6:30 – 9:30 PM CHILDREN’S NIGHT OUT Location: Hanover Inn, Hanover, NH, The Hanover Inn is located on the corner of Wheelock and Main. The Drake Room is located one floor below the lobby. Follow signs.

9:00 – 11:30 AM FAREWELL BREAKFAST RECEPTION Location: Daniel Webster Room, Hanover Inn Hanover Inn is located on the corner of East Wheelock and South Main Street. The Daniel Webster Room is located on the main floor, just passed Zins. Parking: Hanover Inn has a below ground parking area. The entrance is on East Wheelock Street. The town parking meters are also available. They are free on Sunday.
