NC State recorded back-to-back nine-win seasons for only the third time in school history (1991-92, 1973-74) . In fact, in the 127 years of NC State football, the Wolfpack has reached the nine-win plateau just 12 times, with head coach Dave Doeren accomplishing the feat each of the last two seasons . Of the 64 teams in the Power-5 conferences, only 12 (18 75%). have had at least nine wins each of the last two seasons . The Wolfpack and Clemson are the only two ACC squads to accomplish the feat . In terms of conference wins, NC State has racked up 11 over the last two seasons (going 6-2 in 2017 and 5-3 last year) . The Pack’s 11 ACC wins the last two seasons ties the school record for most in consecutive years, accomplished four times now and for the first time since 1991-92 .
