Faculty Manuela Oliveira April DANCE WORKSHOP Loredo Malcolm Amy Campbell 2 days $145 Book online! www.sydneydancecompany.com Jason Winters or phone 92584818 JUNIORS 14 & 15 April 2014 SENIORS 16 & 17 April 2014 Veronica George Junior Faculty MANUELA OLIVEIRA – Hip Hop Manuela has just returned from Los Angeles where she was the choreographer and Performance Advisor on NBCs "The Voice" Seasons 1,2 & 3. She worked with each artist individually starting from the Auditions then Battle Rounds, staging and working on their performance presence. She also staged the opening performance for coaches; Ceelo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton & Adam Levine. Other career highlights include choreographer for X-Factor USA Season 1 working alongside Paula Abdul. Manuela was also a choreographer for “So You Think You Can Dance” Australia 1,2 & 3 and “So You Think You Can Dance” Malaysia Season 1,2 as Artistic Director / Choreographer and Guest Judge. Manuela has danced with Jennifer Lopez in her music video “On the Floor” and with Rihanna at the MTV Music Awards. LOREDO MALCOLM - Lyrical Loredo Malcolm started training at the age of nine at Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts in Jamaica. He moved to New York to pursue further training, graduating with a Certificate in Dance and Performing Arts. Loredo then understudied the role of Simba in Disney's The Lion King for four years touring Australia, Shanghai, and London's West End. In 2009 Loredo made it into the Top 9 dancers on Channel 10’s, So You Think You Can Dance. Following this, Loredo joined the cast of Chicago The Musical, playing the Spirit of Bob Fosse and travelled to Perth, Singapore and then Hong Kong. Loredo also performed with Hairspray The Musical as an ensemble dancer and understudy to Seaweed. He then went on to tour with the Australian production of Wicked the Musical. Loredo also has his own Contemporary Company LOcREaDO Dance Company which performs in venues such as the Parade Theatre at NIDA and Theatre Works, Melbourne. VERONICA GEORGE – Theatre Jazz Veronica is a professional Musical Theatre performer. Her versatility is shown through her many credits in Theatre and corporate work including performing alongside Lisa McCune at the Capitol Theatre in the production of “Guys and Dolls” as a principal dancer, performing in Graeme Murphy’s ‘Tivoli’ with the Sydney Dance Company, “Grease- the Arena Spectacular” (Australia & NZ tour) as a dancer and Dance Captain and the musical “The Wizard of Oz”. Veronica appeared in Baz Lurhmann’s film “Moulin Rouge” as the Tattooed Can Can dancer”. She has performed on P&O Cruise ship “Pacific Sky”, in the show “Fever” with Rhonda Burchmore. She also had the pleasure of working alongside Hugh Jackman in “The Boy from Oz”. AMY CAMPBELL – Jazz Amy’s versatility as a triple threat performer has given way to her career both nationally and internationally across the performance industry. Her many theatre credits include: Fame the Musical, La Grande Cirque, II Tritico (Opera Australia), The Illusionists (dancer & aerialist), Saturday Night Fever and King Kong the Musical. Amy is a graduate of Newtown High School for the Performing Arts and the Broadway Dance Centre New York. Amy was one of the Top 10 dancers on Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance. Her other television credits include Everybody Dance Now, X Factor, All Saints, Dangerous, Natalie Wood, Australia’s Next Top Model and The Magician. She has danced for many great music artists including Kylie Minogue. JASON WINTERS - Contemporary Jason trained with a full scholarship at Southern Ballet Theater and The Demetrius Klein Dance Ensemble training in Graham, Limon, Horton, and Cunningham Techniques. Jason gained an apprenticeship with The DK Modern Dance Company in South Florida and then moved to the corps de ballet, and eventually a soloist position with SBT in Orlando, Florida. After three years as a professional in the ballet world, Jason embarked on a 10 year relationship with The Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, Florida and Tokyo Disneyland, Japan. He was a dancer/principal in 9 full-length shows including Beauty & the Beast and Lion King. He was choreographer/dancer in the dance company of acclaimed choreographer MIA MICHAELS and continued to assist Mia Michaels on many global projects including “So You Think You Can Dance” America & Canada, and the renowned Cirque de Soleil’s “DELIRIUM”. Jason has taught masterclasses at Broadway Dance Centre, Steps and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
