VISA FOR FAMILY MEMBER OF STUDENT (Spouse and/or children under 18) (for a period of stay in Spain of more than 90 days)

- Duly completed application form (you can find it attached).

- 1 Recent photograph with a white background, frontal view (3,5 x 4,5 cm).

- Original passport valid for the whole period that the visa is requested.

- Passport photocopies: Picture page and renewal (in case of renewed passport) and previous visas (Schengen, USA, UK and ).

- If you wish to apply with a foreign passport, you must provide also a residency permit in (“IKAMA”) translated into Spanish (Original & 1 copy), or a Lebanese Passport or a Lebanese ID or Civil Register (“EKHRAJ KAID FARDE”), translated into Spanish . If you are a Syrian national living in , the Residence Permit or IKAMA is not required.

- The admission certificate of the spouse or parent to attend full time courses in a teaching institution authorized in Spain with the exact dates of start and end of course. The admission certificate should state that the spouse or parent is currently enrolled. If applicable it should also mention that the student is currently attending the courses . The certificate should be in Spanish .

- Copy of the NIE card of the spouse or parent (if applicable).

- A medical insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation associated to an accident or any unexpected sickness during the first year of stay or the whole period of stay in Spain if it is less than a year (minimum coverage 30,000 €). It has to be translated into Spanish by a juror translator.

- The availability of financial and accommodation means for the whole period of stay:

a) Detailed bank statement for the last three months of the account of the person who will take charge of your expenses in Spain

b) Warranty letter certified by a notary from the person who will take charge of your expenses in Spain, translated into Spanish (no need to legalize ).

If the applicant will be personally responsible for his expenses, only a detailed bank statement for the last three months of his personal bank account is needed.

- Recent Family Register (“EKHRAJ KAID AAKILE”/ ¨BAYAN AAKILE”) translated into Spanish by a juror translator and legalized (the original in and the translation) by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that has issued the document. This document should have a maximum validity of three months since its issue date.

ALL PREVIOUS DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ORIGINAL PLUS ONE COPY

IF THE PERIOD OF STAY IS GOING TO BE MORE THAN SIX MONTHS YOU SHOULD ALSO PROVIDE:

- Police Certificate (“SEJEL ADDLEH / LA HOKM AALE”) issued by the authorities of the country of origin and the country and countries where the person has been residing for the last five years (if applicable). This certificate must show that the person has not been sentenced for offences included in the Spanish Penal Code; it has to be translated into Spanish by a juror translator and legalized (the original in Arabic and the translation) by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that has issued the document. This document should have a maximum validity of three months since its issue date.

- Medical Certificate stating literally that the applicant “does not suffer any of the illness that could cause severe repercussions on Public Health according with the International Sanitary Regulation of 2005” , officially translated into Spanish and legalized (both the original and the translation ) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that has issued the document. This document should have a maximum validity of three months since its issue date. Any medical doctor registered in the Syndicate of Doctors may issue this certificate.

- POLICE CERTIFICATES AND FAMILY REGISTERS ISSUED OUTSIDE LEBANON AND/OR SYRIA SHOULD BE ALSO LEGALISED BY THE EMBASSY OF SPAIN LOCATED IN THE COUNTRY WHERE THEY WERE ISSUED.

The process will take around two to three weeks starting the date of submission of the application at the Embassy of Spain in Hadath-Baabda.

You may keep the passport after applying for the visa if you wish to.
