PROVIDING UNDERGROUND SEWERAGE SCHEME TO NOLAMBUR IN CHENNAI CITY Nolambur is one among the 42 local bodies in the expanded Chennai city which falls in Greater Chennai Corporation Division 143, Area XI (Valasaravakkam) to an extent of 2.56 Sq.Km with 89 streets/roads at a total length of about 38 Km. The Sewerage scheme for this area has been designed for a period of 30 years from 2014-2044. The ultimate population to be served has been estimated at 76872. The ultimate quantity of Sewage generation is projected as 9.23 MLD. The scheme cost for “Providing Underground Sewerage Scheme to Nolambur” was sanctioned under Chennai Mega City Development Mission 2013-14 is Rs. 26.01 Crore. The Government has accorded G.O. (MS) No 105, MA&WS (MC.I) Dept., dated 11.07.2013 for the implementation of Chennai Mega City Development Mission Fund. Technical sanction was accorded for Rs.28.35 Crore on 25.11.2013. For this scheme the funding pattern is Government of India 35% (Rs.910.00 Lakh), Government of Tamilnadu 15% (Rs.390.00 Lakh) and the balance 50% (Rs.1300.00 Lakh) to be borne by CMWSSB through mobilization and loan assistance from TNUIFSL. Components of work 1. Laying of sewer gravity main - 18527 m 2. Construction of Manholes - 721 nos 3. Laying of pumping main - 4,500 m 4. Providing House Service Connections - 1,450 nos 5. Construction of Sewage Pumping Stations - 4 nos Contract details The work has been awarded to M/s VRG Const. Pvt Ltd., Madhava Hytech- M/s. NCCPL Joint Venture at a contract value of Rs. 2142.24 Lakh on 15.07.2014 with contract period of 30 months. The work was commenced on 18.02.2015 and the scheduled date of completion is 17.08.2017. The contract period has been extended and all works are completed. Trail commissioned successfully from the Terminal Pumping station to Mogappair East Existing Pumping Station. Handing over to O&M wing is under process. Progress of work (as on 30.11.2017) 1. Physical progress - 100% 2. Financial progress - 85.06% 3. Probable date of completion - 30.04.2018 .

M A R K E T B E AT CHENNAI Residential Q3 2020 Launches coming back, construction activity resuming Chennai’s residential market witnessed new launches coming back in the third quarter, with over 1500 units launched in Q3, a 3X rise compared to the last quarter. Most of the new launches were observed in locations such as Manapakkam, Perumbakkam and Siruseri in the Suburban South I 1,578 UNIT LAUNCHES (Q3 2020) and II submarkets. The mid segment continued to dominate new launches with a share of 66% followed by affordable and high-end segments with 15% and 12% share, respectively. Major developers who launched new projects during the quarter included Casagrand, Arun Excello, Sristi Builders and Saradeuz Infrastructures. Developers focused on compact 1-2 BHK residential units, which fall in the affordable and mid-segment SHARE OF SUBURBAN SOUTH II categories. This also had a favourable impact on pricing of these apartments, thereby leading to greater enquiries from potential homebuyers. The 43% IN NEW LAUNCHES (Q3 2020) luxury segment accounted for only 6% of total launches during the quarter. Construction activity has resumed across most projects and developers are focusing on projects / towers which are nearing completion in the short term. SUPPLEMENTARY RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN for Public Disclosure Authorized Ambattur SIDCOCanal and Nolambur Canal February, 2017 Public Disclosure Authorized Storm Water Drains Department, Greater Chennai Corporation Public Disclosure Authorized Abstract The Greater Chennai Corporation is presently implementing Storm Water Drainage project in the expanded areas of Chennai Corporation under the World Bank assisted Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project. As social impacts were encountered in the four canal portions a RAP was prepared and approved by the competent authorities and disclosed during January 2015. Presently GCC has carried out a detailed demarcation survey and finalized the social impacts in two canals viz. Ambattur SIDCO canal and Nolambur Canal. The details of the final list of PAFs and the entitlements and implementations arrangements etc are detailed out in this Supplementary RAP. This supplementary RAP covers two canal portions and the PAFs list is an updated list and supersedes the disclosed RAP. Altogether 81 PAFs are proposed to be affected across these two canals, of which 11 belongs to AmbatturSIDCO canal and 70PAFs arein Nolambur Canal. Of the 81 PAFs identified, 48 PAFs are proposed to be displaced and remaining are partially affected. All the PAFs are squatters. The TNSCB assured the GCC to provide tenements for the displaced PAFs in the tenements available at Thirumazhisai/Gudapakkam site. The Estimated R&R Cost for the AmbatturSIDCO canal is about Rs. 8,12,900/- and the total estimated R&R cost for the Nolambur Canal is Rs.
