    THREATENED SPECIES SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE Established under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 The Minister approved this conservation advice and transferred this species from the Endangered to Vulnerable category, effective from 04/07/2019 Conservation Advice Litoria dayi (Lace-eyed Tree Frog) Taxonomy Conventionally accepted as Litoria dayi (Gunther 1897). Litoria dayi (Lace-eyed Tree Frog) was recently transferred to the genus Litoria from the genus Nyctimystes after Kraus (2013) showed that it did not meet the morphological characteristics for assignment to that genus (Cogger 2014). Summary of assessment Conservation status Vulnerable: Criterion 2 B1 and B2 (a),(b)(i,ii) The highest category for which Litoria dayi is eligible to be listed is Vulnerable. Litoria dayi has been found to be eligible for listing under the following categories: Criterion 2: B1 and B2 (a),(b)(i,ii): Vulnerable Litoria dayi has been found to be eligible for listing under the Vulnerable category. The species was eligible for listing under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999) (EPBC Act) as on 16 July 2000 it was listed as Endangered under Schedule 1 of the preceding Act, the Endangered Species Protection Act 1992 (Cwlth). Following a formal review of the listing status of the Lace-eyed Tree Frog, the Threatened Species Scientific Committee (the Committee) has determined that there is evidence that the species has stabilised but has not undergone any demonstrable recovery since being listed; and that there is sufficient evidence to support a change of status of the species to Vulnerable under the EPBC Act but not to delist the species.

    ECONOMICS AND GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE 2021 ESTIMATES PRE-HEARING QUESTION ON NOTICE No. 1 THE ECONOMICS AND GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE ASKED THE MINISTER FOR TOURISM INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION AND MINISTER FOR SPORT (HON S HINCHLIFFE) ― QUESTION: With reference to page 4 of the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport Service Delivery Statements, and the reference to promoting long term growth to the tourism industry, will the Minister provide an update on the Year of Indigenous Tourism? ANSWER: On 19 July 2020, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier and Minister for Trade, extended the Year of Indigenous Tourism to 2021 due to the impacts of COVID-19. The Palaszczuk Government is investing $10 million over two years for Indigenous tourism development and growth as part of the Year of Indigenous Tourism. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tourism experiences are an iconic part of Queensland’s tourism sector and a strong economic driver, as the sector supported $505 million in visitor expenditure and employed nearly 2500 people on a full-time basis before the COVID-19 pandemic. Key initiatives of the Year of Indigenous Tourism include: • $7 million Growing Indigenous Tourism in Queensland Fund • Our Country Tourism Business Development Service • Advance Queensland One Business program, for Indigenous business innovators and entrepreneurs • Indigenous experience, marketing, festivals and events • The scoping of the potential to establish a peak Indigenous tourism body. Under the Growing Indigenous Tourism in Queensland Fund, 24 businesses received funding of up to $25 000 to develop business concepts and feasibility studies for new growth of Indigenous tourism product or experiences, while nine businesses received funding of up to $1 million to deliver a new tourism attraction, experience or built infrastructure.

In the last 12 months alone, Taronga partnered with 28 organisations working on the front line of conservation across 17 countries.

B.Env Design Arnold Wolthers Architects Southport 0475 086 440 Board of Architects of Queensland Registration Number 2857 Federation Walk Nature Reserve First published 2002 Revised 8 th January 2009 Latest Print 7 February 2017 © Arnold Wolthers Architects Arnold Wolthers – Project Architect The Federation Walk Management Plan was prepared and authored by Arnold Wolthers Architects, in 2002 following the construction and completion of the ‘Federation Walk’. Prior to construction of the ‘walk’ the alignment was first surveyed and charted by the author following numerous field reconnaissance trips and traverses to consider trees and vegetation of significance identified for protection and mapped during this exercise. Arnold Wolthers attended the site daily when construction was in progress to ensure the design maintained its integrity and direction. Twenty two detailed design elements were presented along with this Management Plan for future implementation as funds become available. These include an ocean viewing platform, a lookout point, wheelchair access provisions, a skywalk, nodal intersection detailing and entry statements. This Management Plan was presented to City of Gold Coast, and has been referenced and utilised by Council as a resource.
