Fast and Furious 4 boxing night LIVE on Indigo

Montréal, April 6, 2011 – Indigo will broadcast the fourth and final instalment of the Fast and Furious boxing series live at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 8. The main event will feature Québec rising star (25-0-0, 24 KOs) against ’s Marco Antonio Rubio (49-5-1, 42 KOs). There have been few bouts in the history of Canadian boxing between two heavy hitters with so many KOs between them. The winner of the eagerly anticipated fight will get a shot at the WBC world title.

Canadian boxers in the spotlight In what promises to be an exciting undercard, Québec slugger Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (13-1- 0, 10 KOs), the Canadian title holder, will take on Derek “The Black Lion” Edwards of the U.S. (25-1-0, 13 KOs). NABA champion Arash Usmanee of Canada (11-0-0, 6 KOs), an up-and-coming super featherweight, will confront Aldo Valtierra of Mexico (25-13-0, 2 KOs).

The other six fights on the card include Québec super featherweight Kevin Lavallée (3-0-1, 3 KOs) versus fellow Canadian James Carpio (1-1-0, 1 KOs) and Columbian heavyweight Oscar Rivas (4-0- 0, 1 KO) against Mexico’s Wilfrido Leal (7-4-2, 6 KOs). In his first pro bout after a brilliant amateur career, heavyweight Didier Bence of Laval (0-0-0) will do battle with Leonard Collier of the U.S. (1-6- 0, 0 KOs).
