LIEUTENANT COLONEL DAVID A. MOTT JR

Lt Col David A. Mott Jr. is the Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 295 at the University of Louisville. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, training, and preparing students for commissioning into the Air Force as second lieutenants. He also serves as Chairman of the Aerospace Studies Department in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisville.

Lt Col Mott was commissioned in 2004 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and entered student-flying training at Randolph AFB, Texas. He began his first Operational B-52 assignment in the 23rd Bomb Squadron with follow on operational tours in 96th, 20th, and 69th Bomb Squadrons.

Lt Col Mott is a graduate of the Weapons School and is Senior Combat Systems Officer with more than 2,500 hours in in the B-52.
