1 THE EUROCLEAN RANGE ADVANTAGE

Active Shield™: The Active Shield™ coating, on Euroclean dust bags builds an impenetrable wall of anti- bacterial fighting agents and traps & deactivates the harmful minute microorganisms inside the bag. This ensures 100% cleaning, as well as 100% safety, of the air expelled from the vacuum cleaner. (Available in Euroclean Dynomite Vacuum Cleaners).

Triple I™: The intelligent ion inducer technology works on the ‘corona discharge’ method. A tiny current of electrons flows down the needle to its point. The nearer the electrons come to the needlepoint, the closer they are forced together. Since electrons naturally repel each other, when they reach the very tip of the needle they are forced off into the nearest air molecule and become a negative ion. Negative ions repel each other as well, so as more and more are produced they are emitted further out into the air. Negative ionizers are proven to clear the air of dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores and other potential allergens. Negative ions increase your sense of well-being and mental clarity, by removing the debilitating effects of excessive positive ions in your environment. (Available in Euroclean i-Clean Vacuum Cleaners).

Ergonomics™: Euroclean vacuum cleaners & cleaning machines are designed with care, keeping the best ergonomic principles in mind. They are created to achieve new standards of operation, along with ease of handling. For example, the soft gripped conical-shaped hose handle comes loaded with a patented 360 degree technology which swivels both sides, ensuring convenient and efficient cleaning, every time.

Deep Cleaning+™: Euroclean efficiently cleans, disinfects and purifies your home from dirt, dust and dust mites. It cleans not only on the surface but also reaches every difficult deep nook and corner, thereby eliminating the fear of common dust-related allergies or recurrent illnesses. Optimised power suction, superior airflow and its ability to effectively remove the dangerous microscopic dust mites make the Euroclean a cleaning marvel.

STEAM RELEASE SAFETY FEATURE

IMPORTANT: This steam cleaner is equipped with a steam release valve mechanism, located at the rear of the steam generator. In event of a steam flow blockage, the safety valve is designed to release the steam. Regular cleaning of the steam chamber and nozzle is therefore recommended to avoid such an occurrence. If the steam is released from the safety valve, stop cleaning and unplug the steam cleaner from the electrical outlet. Allow the product to cool down thoroughly for at least one hour. Then, clean the steam chamber and nozzle. If steam is still being released from the safety valve, after cleaning, contact an authorized Service Centre immediately.

7 USING EUROCLEAN STEEM

IMPORTANT: • Never open the water tank cap whilst the steam switch is on. • Never fill the tank directly from a tap. Use a jug and the funnel provided. • Do not operate a damaged appliance or damaged accessories. • This steam cleaner is not intended for commercial use.

Remove the tank filler cap by unscrewing it and fit the funnel provided. With the cleaner held at around 45°, pour the water into the funnel. The maximum capacity of the tank is 0.8 litres of water, which will give you more than 25 minutes of steaming. Use less water if required.

IMPORTANT: Do not overfill.

Rotate the upper cord storage hook to quickly release the power cord. IMPORTANT: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised Service Agent or similarly qualified persons, to avoid accidents. 27 28 Make sure the steam cleaner is switched OFF. Insert the power plug into an electrical outlet. 29 30 WARNING: Before switching ON, ensure the floor head/accessories are kept away from people or animals.

8 USING EUROCLEAN STEEM

Press the ON/OFF switch located on the handle to switch Euroclean Steem on. The red power ON light should now be illuminated. The steam generator will start to heat but no steam will be emitted. Press the steam switch to the ON position. After about 30 seconds, when the steam generator is up to the required temperature, the water pump will start, the green steam ready light will illuminate and steam will be emitted. To stop the steam, switch either switch to the OFF position. For quick breaks, we suggest just switching OFF the steam switch. After switching the cleaner to OFF, steam will continue to be emitted for a few seconds until the steam generator is empty.

Turn the variable steam setting control to maximum and point the steam nozzle towards a cloth or sink for approximately 30 seconds, to stabilise the flow and produce a continuous steam.

Upright steaming Attachment mode • Turn the variable steam setting control to maximum and point the steam nozzle towards a cloth or sink for approximately 30 seconds, to stabilise the flow and produce a continuous steam.

DUAL FUNCTIONALITY Your steam cleaner can easily be configured into two different cleaning modes: • Upright steaming for floors and carpets. • Attachment mode for vertical or hard to reach surfaces. Important: Ensure the steam switch is turned off before connecting the floor head or any of the other cleaning accessories. UPRIGHT STEAMING: ASSEMBLY Depending upon the task, connect the required floor cloth to the floor head by using the towel grips as shown in this section. To fit the nozzle to the main body, align the hole in the nozzle with the lock button on the main body. Press the lock in and then twist and push the nozzle fully on until the lock button clicks into place.

10 OPERATING EUROLCEAN STEEM

Important: Before use, hard floors should be throughly swept and carpets should be thoroughly dry vacuumed. However, we recommend that Euroclean Steem is not used on: • Bare wood floors or any surfaces where wood is exposed, as it will absorb moisture and may war pit. • Damaged hard floors or hard floors with abnormal gaps present. Also, do not keep the mop in one place for an extended period, where the continual heat may cause shrinkage or distortion on carpets and laminate flooring. Important: Please remember that Euroclean Steem operates by emitting steam at an increased temperature of 115°C. Always test on an inconspicuos area first. Never use it on objects or surfaces which cannot resist this temperature, or on delicate materials such as dralon, plastic, natural fur, etc. If in doubt, check carefully on a part of the material where minor marks will not matter. Important: When you have finished cleaning, ensure that both the power switch and steam switch are turned OFF and that the plug is removed from the electrical outlet. UPRIGHT STEAMING: OPERATION Turn the steam switch ON. Reduce the steam flow to a lower setting by turning the steam control regulator. Use both forward and backward strokes across the floor area. Note: The steam output can be regulated using the variable steam setting control on the side of the handle. UPRIGHT STEAMING: HARD FLOOR CLEANING AND STUBBORN STAINS Connect the floor cloth (hard floor) to the floor head by stretching the elasticated skirt around the floor head and secure it into place using cloth grips. Important: When cleaning parquet, laminate and wood floors, set the steam regulator control to “minimum”. Warning: The floor cloth becomes very hot during use. Please wait until the cloth is cool before removing, wringing, rinsing or replacing the cloth. When the cloth becomes wet, wring out the moisture, or replace with a clean, dry cloth.

11 OPERATING EUROLCEAN STEEM

If the cloth becomes too dirty, rinse out the dirt, or replace with a clean, dry cloth. To remove stubborn stains or embedded grime on hard surfaces, fold and attach the floor cloth (carpet) whilst leaving the brushes underneath the floor head visible. Move the brush sliders so that the brushes appear underneath the floor head. Move the brushes backwards and forwards over the selected area. Important: Do not use the brushes for routine carpet and hard floor cleaning as unnecessary scrubbing may cause damage. The brushes should only be used for removing stubborn stains and grime. UPRIGHT STEAMING: CARPET CLEANING AND PILE REJUVENATION Carpets should be dry vacuumed before steam cleaning. For Best results use Euroclean range of Vacuum Cleaners. For free movement of the steamer, over larger carpeted areas, the carpet glide attachment can be used. Detach and remove the steam comb section from the carpet glide attachment. Fold the cloth and place inside the carpet glide base. Secure the floor head inside the carpet glide base and connect the cloth by using the floor cloth grips. To rejuvenate flattened carpet piles, remove the cloth and connect the carpet glide base to the floor head, with the steam comb section in place. When cleaning carpets and rugs, set the steam regulator control to “maximum”. Use slow forward and backward cleaning strokes over the desired area. Using with other accessories (attachment mode) Important: When the steam cleaner is used in a vertical or inclined position, shake the steam cleaner gently, to ensure that the weighted tubing inside the tank is in the correct (immersed) position.

12 OPERATING EUROLCEAN STEEM

This function is ideal for a wide range of steam cleaning tasks and for cleaning hard to reach places. The accessories can be attached to the main body of Euroclean Steem by removing the floor head. Warning: The housing and accessories become hot during operation. Allow the steam cleaner to cool down before replacing or removing the accessories. To remove the floor head press the lock button in and then twist and pull the floor head until it comes free from the handheld unit. Important: Before connecting any of the accessories (excluding the floor head), first connect the deflector nozzle to the end of the steam outlet on the main body of the steam cleaner. Fit the required accessory over the deflector nozzle by aligning with the lock button on the main body of the steam cleaner. Press the lock button in and then twist and push the accessory fully on until the lock button clicks.

ATTACHMENT: SQUEEGEE For cleaning windows, patio doors, conservatory glass, tiles, shower screens and mirror panels. Use the Squeegee at a very low steam flow by adjusting the variable steam setting. Use a cloth to wipe the blade and remove excess water during usage. Warning: Do not use on very cold glass, as the sudden temperature change may crack the glass. To clean windows, start at the top of the window, press the Squeegee to the surface and drag downwards. Move the Squeegee in straight passes from top to bottom. For small window panels, remove the squeegee and spray the steam directly onto the surface. Use the Squeegee separately to wipe away the moisture.

13 OPERATING EUROLCEAN STEEM

ATTACHMENT: UTILITY NOZZLE For cleaning tiled surfaces, cabinets and worktops in kitchens and bathrooms. Also use this attachment for cleaning upholstery, curtains, pillows and mattresses. Use on a low to medium steam flow by adjusting the variable steam setting. Cover the utility tool with one or two of the elasticated utility cloths. ATTACHMENT: SPOT BRUSH For cleaning the grout between tiles or stubborn marks and stains on hard surfaces. Use at medium or high steam flow by adjusting the variable steam setting. Apply gentle pressure. Too much force may damage the bristles. Two sets of spare bristles are supplied. To change, loosen the screw and pull out the bristle set. ATTACHMENT: DEFLECTOR NOZZLE For cleaning sanitaryware such as toilet bowls, taps or drain covers. Use this nozzle at maximum steam flow. Point it directly at temporary/short-lined/momentary stains on carpets or upholstery whilst holding a clean cloth, near the stained area, to capture any loosened dirt. SANITISING BEDDING AND UPHOLSTERY • To sanitise and remove dust mites and allergens from bedding and upholstery, fit the utility nozzle and pass the steam slowly and evenly over the surface, ensuring all areas are treated. Repeat the process. Leave the mattress to dry thoroughly before covering. • Sanitising surfaces and hard floor • To sanitize surfaces and hard floors, focus steam while cleaning or mopping for at least 15 seconds. Pass the steam slowly and evenly over the surface, ensuring all areas are treated. Repeat the process. Note: When the steam cleaner is used for cleaning in the overhead position, increase the steam flow to maximum and allow approximately 30 seconds for the steam to be generated in full. Now the flow can be reduced to the level required for the particular accessory being used. Note: When using on hard/wooden floors, we recommend setting to minimum steam to prevent the floors from becoming too wet. Use both forward and backward strokes across the floor area.

14 STORAGE

After Each Use Switch Euroclean Steem OFF and unplug from the socket. Please keep Euroclean Steem on a suitable surface (eg. Tiled floor) where the residual heat/moisture in the floor nozzle/cloth will not affect the surface. Wait until the cleaner has cooled down completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank by unscrewing the water tank cap and turning the steam cleaner upside down. This should be done over a sink or outdoors.

Wrap the cord around the two power cord holders, folding the lower holder out from its location on the lower handle. Store the product by using the hanger strap at the top of the handle if needed.

15 MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE STEAM GENERATOR 2 1. Pull down the nozzle lock and hold, 3 2. Turn the steam outlet to release the hooks. Important: Do not attempt to twist without releasing the lock. 1 3. Pull upwards/outwards. This will remove it completely from the steam chamber along with an attached spring. 4. Insert the boiler into the chamber. Rotate the brush while pulling it in and out of the chamber to dislodge limescale. Repeat a few times and tip out contents. Repeat until clear of limescale. 5. Remove the brush and insert the steam nozzle back into the chamber and twist to lock back into position. Important: Only follow these instructions when the steam cleaner is completely cooled down. Also ensure that the plug is removed from the electrical outlet. Warning: Always unplug the steam cleaner from the mains supply before undertaking maintenance procedures. Note: Clean the steam chamber after every 10-15 uses, to ensure optimum performance.

16 MAINTENANCE

• Unblocking the Steam Outlet If steam flow appears reduced, the steam nozzle may be blocked. Insert the nozzle pin into the centre of the steam nozzle. This will clear any blockage that may have formed. • Cleaning the Mop Heads The Mop Heads can all be washed in the washing machine (60°C max). For heavy soiling, soak the cloths in warm water and detergent or a mild stain remover. Allow to completely dry before storing. • Maintaining the Attachments Dirt and blockages should be regularly removed from the attachments, to help prolong their usage. • Overall Maintenance Your cleaner is manufactured to withstand normal day-to-day use, but an occasional wipe over with a damp cloth will help maintain it. Abrasive cleaners should not be used.
