The Umbelliferae in Japan has been c1 assified into 30 genera and 90 species. of these species has been treated by several authors. However , the scientific names of some taxa 紅 'e different by the authors , so 1 attempt to sort out the right scien- tific tific names of species these and genera in this paper. The genus Spuriopimpinella Ki tag. is is united to the genus Pimpinella L., and the genera Tilingia Regel and Dystaenia Ki tag. to 血e genus Ligusticum L. It is c1 ear that Angelica sec t. Acutilobi with 7 species is an en- demic demic section of 白e Japanese Islands. In this paper a key to Japanese genera is provided and and 11 genera are treated; Hydrocotyle , Centella ,Sanicula , To rilis , ,Pleurospermum ,Bupleurum , , Pternopetalum and Aegopodium.
