AND THAT the Comox-Strathcona Regional Hospital "istrict was incorporated by Letters Patent issued by Order-in-Council approved the date hereof:

AND THAT the said Regional Hospital District includes the Regional District of Comox Valley, School District No. 72 (Campbell River), and School District No. 84 ( West), which School Districts are not included within the said Regional District:

AND THAT it is desirable that the name of the regional district be changed to the "Regional District of Comox-Strathcona":

AND TO RECOMMEND THAT pursuant to the provisions of sections 766A and 766 of the "Municipal Act" supplementary Letters Patent for the Regional District of Comox Valley do issue in the form attached hereto.

Greeting. (WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions

(of section 766 of the "Municipal

(Act" the Regional District of

(Letters Patent issued the 19th Minister of Municipal Affairs. (day of August, 1965:

AND WHEREAS section 766A of the "Municipal Act" provides, inter alia, that where the boundaries of a regional district do not coincide with the boundaries of a regional hospital district the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may on the recommendation of the Minister, by supplementary Letters Patent, redefine the boundaries of the regional district and designate the member municipalities: - 2 -

AND WHEREAS the Comox-Strathcona Regional

Hospital District was incorporated by Letters Patent issued the day of , 1967:

AND WHEREAS the boundaries of the said regional

district do not coincide with the boundaries of the said

regional hospital district:

AND WHEREAS it is considered desirable to alter

the name of the "Regional District of Comox Valley" to the

"Regional District of Comox-Strathcona":

NOW KNOW YE THAT by these presents We do order

and proclaim that on, from, and after the date hereof the

Regional District of Comox Valley shall he called and known by

the name and style of the "Regional District of Comox-Strathcona";

and that paragraph 1 of the Letters Patent incorporating the

Regional District be amended by striking out the words "Comox

Valley" and substituting the words "Comox-Strathcona":

AND THAT on and from the date hereof the boun-

daries of the regional district be defined as follows:

Commencing at the north-west corner of Section 30, Township 2,

Clayoquot Land District, being a point on the westerly shore

of Vancouver Island; thence easterly along the northerly boun-

daries of Sections 30 and 29 and continuing easterly along

the northerly boundary of Special Timber Licence 1162P to the

north-east corner thereof; thence due north to the height of
