A Special Announcement LUKE BRYAN What Makes You Country Capitol Records (UMG) CONTENTS A Special Announcement — Charts Dear Readers; We have an announcement regarding our distribution of Mainstream Country music. Going forward, CDX Nashville will now be offering two separate forms of distribution: Digital Only and Full Package. With Digital Only, you will be able to digitally service your track out to Country radio in the form a standalone Country e-blast. You will be given three blasts that go out whenever you’d like, as long as we are given sufficient notice. The cost of this will be $650 per single. With the Full Package option, you will receive the same benefits as the Digital Only package, but will also be a part of one of our upcoming hard copy volumes that go out on a scheduled release date. Your single will be compiled together with other music, from indies and majors alike. Other benefits will include being part of multiple compilation blasts, a 35% discount on all of our chart newsletter and web advertising and the option to visit our offices to film a live acoustic performance of your music that we will then post on our website and social media. The cost of this will be $1400 per single. With this new distribution change, we are also announcing an update to the release format of our volumes. Volumes will now be released every 9 weeks instead of the regular 3. This will allow artists more time to ready their music and promotion efforts. We will be updating the release schedule on our site this week. If you have any questions, you can contact me at [email protected]. Questions can also be directed towards Sean Dugan PAGE 2-4 at [email protected] or Mark Piland at [email protected]. June 18, 2018, Issue 606 Inside View: CMT Music Awards Two weeks ago, CMT GM Frank Tanki noted the network’s larger CMA Fest footprint (CAW 6/4) – one that CMT Music Awards viewers may have noticed extended to the show itself. With multiple offsite performances and a venue home unaffected (sadly) by the hockey playoffs, this year’s event focused on new music and earned stable audience numbers (CAT 6/7). CMT VP/Music Events Margaret Comeaux walked Country Aircheck through putting the show together. CA: What was the adjustment, if any, to doing the first CMTMA’s since the departure of longtime network presi- dent Brian Philips? MC: Obviously he’d been here quite a few years, and under his leadership or Frank Tanki’s, our team does what it does. We rally, do our part and just come together to get the job done.
