LOUDOUN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS INVITATION FOR BIDS #18-466 DOMINION HIGH SCHOOL SYNTHETIC TURF PROJECT

Sealed bids for the construction of the Dominion High School Synthetic Turf project in Loudoun County, (Loudoun County Bid No. IFB 18-466) will be received at the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration Building, 21000 Education Court, Ashburn, Virginia 20148, in Room 200 on February 20, 2018 until 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following receipt of bids.

The Work consists of the replacement of the natural turf stadium field with a synthetic turf system, including all associated work.

A pre-bid conference will be held on February 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Bidders may inspect the site by visiting the school at 21326 Augusta Drive, Sterling, Virginia 20164 by scheduling with the LCPS Construction Department at (571) 252-1161 to arrange a visit. Submit questions in writing to Bowman Consulting by close of business on February 14, 2018. Responses will be in the form of Addenda if required.

Procedures for submitting bids, claiming error, withdrawal of bids, and other pertinent information are contained in the “Instructions to Bidders.”

Obtain Drawings and Project Manuals for the project by submitting request and deposit by checks only, to J2 Engineers, Inc., at 4080 Lafayette Center Drive, Suite 330, Chantilly, VA 20151; Telephone 703-361- 1550. Provide the deposit amount in 2 checks; $20.00 per set for non–refundable handling fee & $30.00 per set for deposit. Request & deposit must be received at least 4 days prior to receiving bids. Documents will not be distributed until deposit is received. Addenda, or notification of electronic posting of addenda with instructions for accessing them via the Internet, will be transmitted to all who are known by the issuing office to have received a complete set of Bidding Documents. Furnish an e-mail address authorized to receive notifications from the Engineer. Documents will be shipped from the printer via (UPS Ground). Bidders requesting overnight delivery of the documents will be required to pay the difference in cost over standard delivery. The “Instructions to Bidders” shall be considered a part of the Invitation to Bid as if included herein.

Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding.

The Bidder will be required to comply with non-discrimination regulations and to require suppliers and subcontractors to comply with such regulations also.
