Class Rank and Grade Point Average

An official class rank is compiled for each grade that is computed at the end of the year. Averages are carried out to three decimal places and final averages are not rounded. Grades for the class of 2016 and 2017 are unweighted. Student’s grade point average (GPA) will be based on quality points beginning with the graduating class of 2018. Regular high school courses will be on a 4.0 scale and AP, IB and College/University Courses on a 5.0 scale awarded for each grade earned. High school student transcripts include the GPA, class rank and numerical average.
