The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Honorable John J. Cullerton, President of the Senate, presiding. Prayer by Pastor Curt Fleck, Civil Servant Ministries, Springfield, Illinois. Senator Tom Cullerton led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Senator Hunter moved that reading and approval of the Journals of Thursday, January 10, 2019; Wednesday, January 16, 2019; and Wednesday, January 23, 2019, be postponed, pending arrival of the printed Journals. The motion prevailed.
