Although not a direct 1678 90th (Perthshire Volunteers) antecedent Regiment, the history of The Cameronians Regt of Foot (Scottish Rifles) is an important lineage that stands Hepburn’s proudly with that of all other Scottish regiments. On 26th (Cameronians) 1794 Regt Regt of Foot disbanded, three quarters of all ranks who remained in the army chose to transfer to other Scottish Regiments. They remain part of that golden-thread which runs 1633 Earl of Angus’s Regt through The Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Cameronians heritage will continue to be celebrated. 1600 1689 .
