This is the worst flood the state has witnessed in the past 200 years as observed on traditional experiences. The Government of India is committed to improving the quality of life of its citizens through higher electricity consumption. Our aim is to provide each household access to electricity, round the clock. The ‘Power for All’ programme is a major step in this direction. No. H-1601/6/2020-HD GOVERNMENT OF MANIPUR HOME DEPARTMENT ORDERS BY THE GOVERNOR Imphal, the 18 May, 2021 .Whereas, the State Government has been taking numerous actions to prevent the spread.of the COVID 19 infection in the State, by utilizing all the government resources at its command, with the ooperation of various Civil Society Organisations (CS0s) and Non Government Organisations (NGOs). Whereas, the unabated increase in number of infections and active cases in the State indicates that more necds to be done with increased participation of the people and its representatives. Now, therefore, the Governor ofManipur is pleased to constitute Village/Ward Level Task Force as detail d below: I. Constitution. A Village/Ward/ Gram Sabha (whichever applicable) Level Task Force will be constituted with 6-10 members. i. Villages in the remote areas with less than 150 houses should be clubbed together to forrn a Joint Task Force of about 200 households ii. The selection of the members and constitution of the Task Force will be notified by the Deputy Commissioner concerned after due consultation with the MLA of the-constituercy, reputed CSO/NGO active in the area and the local club(s). II. Assistance by Government. Task Force would be provided with PPE kit, sanitizers, masks etc. by the Health :Department through the Deputy Commissioners/ Chief Medical Officers i Each Task Force will be provided mobility support at the rate of Rupees 1000/- per day. Claims for the above amount are to be made through the Deputy Commissioner which wil be sanctioned by the Relief and Disaster Management Department. -

No…………………………..: The Governor of Manipur is pleased to repeal the Manipur Health Service Rules, 1982 and its amendments so far made with immediate effect except in respects of things done or omitted to be done before such repeal. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor hereby makes the following Rules regulating the method of recruitment and terms and conditions of the posts in the Manipur Health Service, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement:- (1) These Rules may be called the Manipur Health Service (Public Health & Medical) Rules, 2018. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions:- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires – (a) “Basic Public Health & Medical Qualification” means a recognized public health/medical qualification specified in any of the Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956); (b) “Category” means any of the categories of posts included in various Grades in Schedule-I; (c) “Commission” means the Manipur Public Service Commission; (d) “Controlling Authority” means the Government of Manipur in the Secretariat: Health and Family Welfare Department; (e) “Departmental Promotion Committee” means a Group ‘A’ Departmental Promotion Committee specified in Schedule IV for considering cases of promotion or confirmation in Group ‘A’ posts of the Service; (f) “Duty Post” means any post, whether permanent or temporary, specified in Schedule II; (g) “Government” means the Government of Manipur; (h) “Governor” means the Governor of Manipur; (i) “Grade” means any of the grades specified in Schedule I; (j) “Schedule” means a Schedule to these rules; (k) “Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe” have the same meaning as in clauses (24) and (25) of Article 366 of the Constitution; (l) “Other Backward Classes” means the Other Backward Classes as defined vide Govt. -

Manipur, majority of the Muslims/Meitei-pangal inhabited in the Lilong assembly Constituency. The majority of the voters belong to Muslim/Meitei-pangal. This constituency is the only constituency cannot win by other community except minority Muslim. As we know, Manipur was started a real democratic form of Government in the year 1972. As such, peoples could participate into the political system of India. From Monarchial period to democratic form of government voters and political actors of Lilong constituency plays an important role in shaping a new Manipur. Voter of the constituency were not mere spectator in the political arena. The first Chief Minister of Manipur after statehood was from the Constituency. As such, apolitical actor of the constituency played very important roles to shape today’s Manipur.
