4-8.09. HOW TO GET TO VENICE’S LIDO BY CAR Park in one of the payment car parks in Via Righi (see map) before the bridge of freedom. They have a daily rate of around 4-5 euros. From there take a bus to Piazzale Roma. The cost of the bus is 1.50 euro. From Piazzale Roma The ACTV public service with line 6 will take you to the Lido in ca. 30 min. or line 5.1 in ca. 40 min. If, on the other hand, you wish to arrive at the Lido along the Grand Canal, line 1 is available which will take you to the Lido in approx. 70 minutes. Only in case of disability or difficulty in reaching the Lido on foot it is possible to take the Ferry Boat which will also carry your car. Line 17 is departing from the island of Tronchetto for to the Lido every 50 minutes There are very few paid parking areas marked by blue stripes at Lido di Venezia. From 08:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00 (except holidays) the cost is € 0.80 per hour. BY TRAIN From the Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, the ACTV public service with line 5.1 will take you to the Lido in ca. 45 min. If, on the other hand, you wish to arrive at the Lido along the Grand Canal, line 1 is available which will take you to the Lido in approx. 70 minutes. TRONCHETTO For those who park on the island of Tronchetto you can use the People Mover, monorail train, to reach in a few minutes Piazzale Roma where you can use Line 6 and Line 5.1 to reach the Lido. BUSES (organized from the place where you leave) If you have rented a bus, the bus stops at the TROCHETTO island from where you can easily reach on foot or with the People Mover Piazzale Roma. It will be the bus rental company that will have to take care of understanding how to manage the bus stop / shift during the days of your stay. Make sure this is done before your arrival. CAMPER The Venice Climate Camp is not equipped to accommodate cars and campers. If you decide to arrive at the Lido by Camper you will have to stay at a camping site on the island, by booking before your arrival. The closest camping site to the Venice Climate Camp is www.campingsannicolo.com As a matter of ecological ethics, we advise against using the plane to reach Venice. These indications are to be considered only if there are reasons related to disability or other factors that preclude the use of other more ecological means of transport. FROM THE AIRPORT Where to buy tickets? * "Public Transport" ticket office in the Arrivals Hall of the Airport; * Automatic ticket machines at the baggage reclaim area near the 3 or 5 bands; * Ticket office in the Darsena (ferry dock); * On board the vaporetto. Where to take the vaporetto? At the airport: following the "Water transport" indication, you can reach the entrance of the Moving Walkway on the first floor of the terminal, an elevated pedestrian walkway, made with moving walkways, which will lead you to the Darsena. In Venice: at the stops of San Marco, Rialto, Fondamenta Nuove, Guglie. Venice islands: Murano, Burano, Lido. The cost of the waterbus/ vaporetto ticket is 7,50 euros.
