He talked to myself, governors, staff, and pupils, and considered your views as parents and Jack Saunby For making a good effort in a writing task carers. He spent time observing, looking at the quality of teaching in the school, and its impact on learning and progress. He also looked at the personal Joseph Howitt For setting a good example when playing with younger children development, behaviour and welfare of pupils at the school, safeguarding and e-safety; and how well the school is led and managed. Indian Cultural Day

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have been given a substantial amount of money from the Johnson and Mukherjee Brothers Trust to hold an event for the schools who are a part of the SAS (Small Aspiring Schools). We are planning on holding an Indian Cultural Day at the Skegness Embassy on Thursday 30th March 2017. It will begin early in the Spring term with each school being visited by Sunita who will teach the children in classes 2 and 3 an Indian dance and create Rangoli art to display at the venue. Kei Bailey, who has lots of experience of working in Theatre, will then visit each school to help them to prepare for their performance on the 30th March.

On the day, all schools will travel to Skegness Embassy where they will practise their dances on stage in the morning and then perform to an audience of parents, family, Governors and others in Education in the afternoon. There will be more details sent home nearer the time, but to aid the organisation and to avoid paying for empty coaches, can you please indicate on the slip below if you will be attending the event in the afternoon of the 30th March and will then be wanting to take your child with you afterwards and therefore they will not require a seat on the coach to return to school. Obviously we will bring back all children that need returning to school, but if a significant number plan to stay in Skegness with parents, we may be able to use less coaches for on the way home and as a result avoid wasting resources. There is no expectation for you to take your child after the performance but past experience suggests a number of you may wish to.

It promises to be an exciting event where the children are given the opportunity to learn about a different culture, work with professionals and children from other schools and perform on a large stage with their friends.
