Ministry of Public Health

The Ministry of Public Health issued a reminder statement of the procedures that must be adopted for contacts of positive cases infected with COVID-19, according to the following:

When a positive case is registered, the person in contact with this case is immediately quarantined for a period of 14 days, bearing in mind that the contact is the person who was with the injured during the 14-day period preceding the registration of the infection for a period of not less than ten minutes and a distance of a maximum of one meter.

The contact quarantine is imperative and necessary, and the examination is more important. The examination may come negative at the beginning without meaning that there is no infection, because this infection may be confirmed after a few days during the incubation period, which extends between two and fourteen days.

The highest percentage in the detection of positive cases of contacts ranges between five (5) and seven (7) days after the last contact with the positive case, so this period is considered the best for conducting the examination and returning it if the need arises.

Emphasizing repeatedly that a negative examination does not mean that the contacts are free of the disease and may turn into positive during the incubation period. Therefore, strict adherence to the stone is an essential factor to limit the transmission of the disease.

The Ministry issued the results of additional examinations for the upcoming trips on 2 and 3 September 2020, where three new positive cases were recorded, and they were distributed as follows
