III. Matters arising: 10:35a.m. (1) Mr TANG Cheuk-him and Ms LAU Kwai-yung requested the MTR Corp to provide a shelter at the bus stop for Route K73 at Ching Pik House (WGMTS Paper No. 30/2018)

10:50a.m. (2) Discussion on the collision of two MTR trains during a trial run of a new signalling system (WGMTS Paper No. 11/2019)

11:20a.m. (3) Mr WONG Wai-shun, MH and Ms KWOK Ching-yin requested that the service hours of bus route no. K74 be extended and a pick-up/drop-off point be provided outside Yeung Uk Tsuen (WGMTS Paper No. 14/2019)

11:35a.m. (4) Mr SIU Long-ming, MH, Mr LUI Kin, MH, Mr KWOK Keung, MH, Ms WONG Wai-ling, Ms MA Shuk-yin, Mr CHUI Kwan-siu and Mr LI Kai-lap, Riben proposed a discussion on the dilapidation of plastic pavement kerbs at LRT stations and the safety risks posed by exposed nails there, and requested that safety checks be conducted promptly at all LRT stations and damaged plastic kerbs be replaced (WGMTS Paper No. 17/2019)

11:50a.m. (5) Mr LEE Yuet-man, MH proposed a discussion on improvements required for pedestrian crossing facilities at the LRT Ginza Station (WGMTS Paper No. 20/2019)

12:20p.m. (2) Mr CHUI Kwan-siu proposed to discuss the disregard of residents’ aspirations, and requested the provision of a minibus route plying between Hung Fuk Estate and North (WGMTS Paper No. 26/2019)

12:35p.m. (3) Mr SHUM Ho-kit, JP, Ms YUEN Man-yee and Mr LEUNG Ming-kin requested the introduction of red minibus (“RMB”) services to replace GMB Route 39 (WGMTS Paper No. 33/2019)

3:35p.m. (8) Mr MAK Ip-sing requested that minibus service operators in Tan Kwai Tsuen and Tong Yan San Tsuen be monitored more closely (WGMTS Paper No. 35/2019)

4:05p.m. (10) Mr TANG Ka-leung and Mr TANG Kam-fai requested that additional GMB routes be introduced (WGMTS Paper No. 37/2019)

4:20p.m. (11) Mr MAK Ip-sing requested that Bus Depot be expanded to become Hung Shui Kiu Bus Terminus (WGMTS Paper No. 38/2019)

4:35p.m. (12) Mr CHEUNG Muk-lam and Mr CHEUNG Wai-sum requested the MTR Corp to expand the waiting platform of LRT Hung Shui Kiu Station (WGMTS Paper No. 39/2019)

4:50p.m. (13) The following motion was moved by Mr MAK Ip-sing and seconded by Ms CHAN Mei-lin: “This Council strongly reprimands the MTR Corp for suspending train services and closing stations recklessly, thus causing inconvenience to the residents and failing to meet their needs. The Council also demands the MTR Corp avoid any station closure in future, ensure smooth railway services, and offer compensation to the people affected.” (WGMTS Paper No. 40/2019)
