Before You Start

• Build Essentials recommends that all top mount be installed by an experienced, professional installer.

• IMPORTANT: The cabinet must be installed, secured, plumb, and level. Failure of this step can lead to product damage.

• Build Essentials top mount sinks should only be fastened to a (i.e. granite, Corian® or Silestone®).

• Build Essentials is not responsible for sink or countertop if damaged during installation. Be sure to inspect the sink for damage prior to beginning installation.

• Metal edges may be sharp – use caution when handling.

• Follow all local and building codes.

1. Position the template (provided with your sink) front to rear so the sink QUTLINE FOR UNDERMOUNT will not interfere with the cabinet; secure with tape. SINK CUTOUT 2. Trace the template and remove. Dry fit the sink to verify the measurements.

3. Following the countertop manufacturer’s instructions, carefully cut the countertop on the inside of the traced line.

4. Locate and drill the mounting holes, following the countertop manufacturer’s instructions. Holes should allow even spacing of p Counterto MOUNTING BRACKET FASTENER mounting brackets around the sink.

With the countertop inverted (upside down), fasten the mounting brackets to the countertop loosely. 1: Pre p IMPORTANT: The cabinet must be installed, secured, plumb, and level BEFORE installing the sink. INVERTED COUNTERTOP IMPORTANT: Build Essentials undermount sinks should only be fastened to a solid surface countertop (i.e. granite, Corian® or Silestone®).

APPLY SILICONE SEALANT AFTER CLEANING THE 1. Clean the bottom of the countertop and the top flange (or lip) of the sink SINK EDGE AND COUNTERTOP with denatured alcohol.

2. Apply a narrow bead of silicone adhesive sealant evenly all around the top of the sink flanges.

3. Position and align the sink over the countertop opening. Press silicone onto countertop.

1. Following all local plumbing and building codes, install the faucet according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

2. Connect the drain and piping.

PREPARING THE COUNTERTOP CUTTING THE COUNTER 1 Position the sink (A) upside down on the countertop. 2 WARNING: Always wear safety goggles and gloves Trace completely around the edge of the sink (A). when using power tools to prevent personal injury. Draw a line 5/16” inside of the outline of the sink. Drill a pilot hole in all four corners of the inside line. Use a saber saw or jig saw to cut on the inside line. Place a support underneath the cutout portion of the countertop to prevent it from falling during cutting.

INSTALLING THE SINK 3 Apply silicone sealant (not included) around the cutout on the countertop surface. Carefully lower the sink (A) into the cutout in the countertop. Preassemble the clamps and screws (AA). From the underside - place the clamp (AA) in the center along each side and hand tighten to hold sink in place. Fasten the remaining clamps (AA) along the edges and space them approximately 3 in. from each end, and equally along the front, back and sides. For thicker than 3/4 in., space them up to 1-1/2 in. apart. From the top - check the seal between the sink (A) edge and countertop. Adjust clamps (AA) if necessary. Lightly tighten clamps (AA) evenly with a screw driver until the sink is perfectly tight to the countertop. Do not over tighten. Wipe away any excess sealant with a rag.
