Stone SO610286 Cottage HRAC/15/16 gable, walls have large panels with mid-rails, (For cruck-framed added bay see 1534d. For inserted floor and wall frame see 1568-90). East St Heref 1425 Pembridge West End Farm, West 34.104 IT (8) Cruck-framed hall with cross-passage and in-line east end, and box-framed two- SO 387581 St bay wing to west with cusped wind braces. Cruck blades in hall have decorative cusping – same team of carpenters as Fig Tree / Grosmont? (1424 qv) Heref 1415 -39 Kington St Mary’s Church 38.99 MB Beams supporting bellframe. For spire see 1267 -97. SO 291567 Heref 1434 Eardisley 1-4 Church Road 37.109 IT Wing: 3 bays, 2 storeys. Jettied gable. Single tier of threaded purlins, wind braces. SO 312493 For hall range see 1513. Heref 1428 -42 Wigmore Chapel Farmhouse 49.124 4 small square panel wall frames. 4-bay hall: jowled posts, cusped arch-braces up SO 394684 HRCF/32/16 to moulded tiebeams, collars, intermediate arch-braced collar trusses. 3 tiers of moulded purlins, cusped curved wind-braces. SO 402515 Back Lane Cusped braces under front tiebeam, cusped wind braces. Hall range 1494 (qv). Heref 1442 Eardisley The Holme, 37.110 IT 2-bay box-framed hall range: cross passage plan. Arch-braced trusses, but that SO 310495 Church Rd over centre of hall has cranked tiebeam: [crown strut?] from tiebeam to collar: 2 tiers of threaded purlins with pairs of curved wind braces in middle row. Wing with 1st-floor great chamber originally jettied on 2 elevations: decorated bargeboards. Heref 1444 Pembridge The Gatehouse, East 34.102 IT (9) Two-bay hall. Cruck truss with arch-braced collar, cusped braces. Probably SO 391581 St originally with a jettied upper end wing. Heref 1431 -65 Weobley Unicorn House, High 38.117 DCL Box framed, Wealden type, but 2 ‘dwellings’, or one with a commercial function? 2 SO 403515 Street recessed halls, each with its own cross-passage. Arch-braced intermediate roof trusses with cusps above the collars and cusped wind braces. Believed to be same carpenters as 4 Portland St and Tudor Cottage in Broad St. Heref 1447/8 Wigmore Upper Limebrook 35.86 Sh 3-bay hall house with ‘integral’ 2-bay upper end wing (demolished). Arch-braced SO 375666 Farm cruck, with cusped and pierced wind braces. ‘Integral’ 2-bay box-frame wing. Heref 1446-54 Pembridge Brick House West St 34.103 IT (10) Two-bay cruck open hall with undated two-bay box-framed, jettied wing. Cusped SO 387581 blades, decorative cusping. Heref 1451 Pembridge Swan House, 34.103 IT (11) 4 bay box-framed open hall. Louvre. ‘Arcading above the tiebeam’, collar. 3 tiers of SO 389581 West St double-cusped & pierced wind braces: Moulded & crenellated cornice. Double- jettied 3-storey wing. SO 410713 Heref 1437-73 Eardisley The Forge 37.109 IT 1 service bay, 2-bay hall: solar end replaced. Cross-passage. 3-bay cruck hall SO 310495 range. Open cruck truss has arch-braced collar. Passing wind braces lapped into backs of 3 tiers of purlins. Heref 1441 -65 Kingswood Pound Farmhouse 48.88 4-bay hall-house with 5 cruck trusses. Arch-braced collars, raking struts, cusping. 2 SO 289541 HRPF/37/16 tiers of trenched side purlins, type B apexes. Inserted chimney 1563 d. [This entry succeeds VA 33.80] Heref 1440-1476 King’s Pyon Black Hall Barn 31.115 UoW (Destroyed – fire) Cruck collar, spur SO 438504 AML 53/99 Heref 1459 Whitbourne Kennets 39.132 IT 2 bays, 2 storeys, probably upper end wing of lost house. Tiebeam & collar, queen SO 724570 posts [i.e. queen struts?]. Heref 1445-81 Pembridge Old Wheelwrights, 34.103 IT (12) 2-bay box-framed open hall with in-line end bays. Arch-braced [collar?] truss SO 392581 East St across hall. Collar, wind braces.
