We were lucky not to be down in the first 30 minutes, but the second half was much better. The goal now is to give competition to the teams above us. If we finish strong at the end of the season, then everything is possible.” – RONALD KOEMAN “We’re doing really well, especially at home. We’ve got a lot of confidence at Goodison and over a period of time we’re breaking teams down. I’m loving getting some game time and enjoying being part of the team. After winning almost every major honour at Manchester United, Phil Neville joined Everton in 2005. He would go on to rack up 303 appearances and, more importantly, take up the captain’s armband. Here he talks about his belief that Tom Davies could one day assume that role, his affection for the Blues and why he has been so impressed with Ronald Koeman…

His feet are on the ground and three games and I’ve been sacked twice myself in I think he’s an Everton captain in the future, I really three years. You’ve got to pick the right chairman, the do.
