SOUTH REGION RE-COMMENCEMENT OF TRAFFIC TRIALS AND CIRCUIT TRIALS Effective: August 20, 2020

Traffic Trials – and :

1. Traffic dockets will continue to be dealt with remotely.

2. Traffic trials will commence in Lethbridge every Thursday, commencing Thursday, September 10, 2020.

3. Traffic trials will resume in Fort Macleod in September 21, 2020 to be heard every 3rd Monday of each month thereafter.

4. In Lethbridge, traffic trials will be staggered and heard at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. as the court may specify.

5. In Fort Macleod traffic trials will be staggered for hearing at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Circuit Trials – , , Fort Macleod and Taber:

1. Docket for all circuit points will continue to be dealt with remotely in Courtroom #1 in Lethbridge until further notice.

Circuit Trials – Pincher Creek, Cardston and Fort Macleod:

1. All trials scheduled for these circuit points or to be scheduled thereafter will be held in the Fort Macleod Courthouse commencing October 1, 2020.

Pincher Creek Trials:

1. Will be held each Monday every month hereafter, commencing October 2020.

Cardston Trials:

1. Will be heard every Wednesday and every 2nd Thursday of each month hereafter, commencing October 2020, except for October 14, 2020.

Fort Macleod Trials:

1. Will be heard on the 2nd Thursday of each month commencing October 2020, with extra sittings available on October 23 (p.m. only), October 27, November 6 and December 22 (p.m. only).

2. Any trials scheduled for Tuesday afternoons in Pincher Creek or Wednesday afternoons for Fort Macleod will be brought forward and rescheduled.

Taber Trials:

1. Will be heard on the 4th Thursday of each month commencing October 2020, save for the month of December, when trials will be heard December 16, 2020.

2. Any trials previously scheduled for Tuesday afternoons in Taber will be brought forward and rescheduled.

Circuit Youth Trials:

1. All youth docket matters will be by remote appearance in Lethbridge.

Taber Youth Trials:

1. Will be held in Lethbridge on the 3rd Monday of each month in Courtroom #7 commencing October 2020.

Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek and Cardston Youth Trials:

1. Will be heard in Fort Macleod and set for hearing on October 23, a.m. only or December 22, a.m. only.

2. Youth trials already scheduled will be brought forward and rescheduled to a suitable date.

3. Any youth trials that will require more time than available on the dates referred to aforesaid, will be booked as a special and the court will fix a special sitting time for the matter.
