One of the hallmarks of a preeminent institution is how well our faculty are recognized for their scholarship and creative works on the national stage. As Georgia College continues the path to preeminence, it is crucial that our faculty be recognized not just as some of the best in the state of Georgia but also as some of the best in the United States.

In our third annual faculty excellence in scholarship/creative works celebration, we recognize more than 247 creative and scholarly works from 113 faculty, and 5 faculty representing editorial works. Of the total works, 125 are creative, 122 are scholarly, 14% are open access, and 7% are available on Galileo. The 247 creative and scholarly works is a 68% increase from last year!

It is hoped that today we are all inspired by the many ways our Georgia College faculty express their creativity and contribute to human knowledge as we seek preeminence as a public liberal arts university. Dr. Kelli Brown Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
