Disc One is In The Trees in a remastered form and some demos of album outtakes. Disc Two is an amazing, rare glimpse at the album’s humble beginnings. It includes demos from the fall of 1993 that the band was on with Pete Loewen on bass, as well as the first demo sessions with Ken Tizzard. Disc Two also captures The Watchmen live via a soundboard recording for a Dutch radio station in front of small studio audience eight months into touring for the album. Disc Two concludes with a live acoustic version of In My Mind, recorded at Q107 in Toronto that reminds us all of the hauntingly soulful vocals of Danny, complimented by Joey’s melodic guitar and Sammy’s hypnotic percussion. Project overview: White Arrows, a five‐piece who met in Los Angeles, began touring almost as soon as they formed, hitting the road with Cults, White Denim and The Naked and Famous, and performing at festivals like Coachella and Sasquatch. The transitory, continuous nature of touring meant that their 2012 debut album, Dry Land Is Not A Myth, was created in bouts, pulled together over the course of almost two years. After Coachella last year, the band finally returned home with no obligations set out before them and allowed the creative process to take them whenever it would.

After meeting with several producers, White Arrows selected Jimmy Messer and spent last winter recording their second album with him at his Los Angeles studio The Tube. It was the band’s first time making music in a real studio with a producer, and the musicians found the experience to be ideal. “We loved it,” Andrew adds. “It was a very freeing experience. Jimmy had good perspective on guitar, which was helpful because that’s where we were trying to shift. It was the most harmonious record‐making process I’ve had with any band so far.”

For White Arrows, In Bardo is the transition. It marks the end of one thing and the beginning of another. The songs, from moody album opener “I Want A Taste” to surging standout number “Leave It Alone” to the evocative two‐part closer, represent the musicians’ current mindset and inspirations, pulled cohesively together by their succinct process of creation. It is, as Mickey says, the band’s real introduction into the world.

Leave It Alone premiered on Consequence of Sound on 5/19 and received highly regarded feedback from other notable blogs such as Baeblemusic, Iheartcomix, Audiofemme, buzzbands.la. The track was also picked up by both Sirius XMU and KROQ (who have already set White Arrows as a “Locals Only” feature).

They are going out with The Neighbourhood for a month around the US starting June 20th and we are currently waiting for more dates in August and around record release.

We’re planning on releasing their second street track “I Want A Taste” 6/24 to help push The Neighbourhood tour dates and give away a 2 song cd sampler at shows to connect the dots between the tour and their new album.

The garage‐punk trio Le Butcherettes are like the brilliant offspring of surrealist Luis Bunuel and intrepid rock icon PJ Harvey. Led by 24‐ year‐old vocalist/guitarist/pianist Teri Gender Bender (a recent transplant to L.A. from Guadalajara, Mexico) Le Butcherettes bring a brazen intensity and playful, hook‐laden simplicity that hacks to pieces all forms of pretension and excess. The band's songs and wildly cathartic live shows have often drawn comparisons to Karen‐O, Patti Smith, Bikini Kill and many other female‐fronted rock groups, but there's a theatricality to Le Butcherettes that brings a further reaching sense of mystery and imagery to the band.

Originally forming as a duo, Le Butcherettes began in 2007 as the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Teri Gender Bender; a modern feminist who cites Sylvia Plath and Malcolm X as major influences. Born to a Mexican stage actress mother and a father who was a fervent lover of the arts, Teri was constantly surrounded by creative energy. Following the death of her father, Teri Gender Bender moved back to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to begin a new and eventful chapter in her life, and with that the first page of Le Butcherettes was written.

Le Butcherettes quickly garnered acclaim in the Latin scene. The group's debut EP Kiss & Kill won "Best New Artist" and "Best Punk Record" nominations from Mexico's Indie‐O Awards in 2009, and their outrageous and spirited live show captured the attention of both fans and artists alike. By the middle of 2009, Le Butcherettes were tapped by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs to participate in their multi‐date "It's Blitz" tour of Mexico. There, Le Butcherettes blew away the press, nightly audiences of 25,000+ spectators and even the members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs themselves, who demonstrated their passion for the duo, often dedicating songs to the band. Support dates soon followed with The Dead Weather.

Following a nearly legendary L.A. debut performance, Le Butcherettes signed to the prestigious William Morris Endeavor agency for worldwide booking, leading to US dates with The Flaming Lips, Omar Rodriguez Lopez and Jane's Addiction. Wayne Kramer is a songwriter whose reputation writing music for film and television could very well supplant his legend as one of the world’s stellar guitarists. Wayne was a teenage greaser and leader of the MC5, widely recognized as the prototype for and heavy metal. In 1969, the MC5 released the incendiary album Kick Out The Jams on Elektra Records. After Elektra dropped them due to “radical antics”, they released two albums on Atlantic: Back In The USA, produced by Bruce Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau and the masterpiece High Time. Between world tours, Wayne scored Gold and The Living Theatre’s film production of Paradise Now.

Wayne spent 1976‐1978 in Lexington Federal Penitentiary, where he was tutored by fellow inmate Red Rodney, trumpeter for the Charlie Parker Quintet. It was Red who taught Wayne how to read music and the two formed a prison band. After release, Wayne co‐ wrote the acclaimed R&B musical The Last Words of Dutch Schultz with Mick Farren, then joined Don Was’ revolutionary acid funk band Was (Not Was) as its original guitarist. Wayne helped define the band’s sound through, of all things, the dance hit “Wheel Me Out”. In the 1980s in , Wayne teamed up with infamous for a short ‐lived, headline grabbing, punk rock group Gang War. In 1994, Wayne moved to Los Angeles and signed with Epitaph Records. He recorded four records in as many years. He produced the album Full Circle with provocateur John Sinclair and produced an MC5 retrospective collection for Rhino Records entitled The Big Bang, as well as a hits compilation Beyond Cyberpunk.

Wayne is recognized nearly as often as a vigorous social activist. Along with wife Margaret Saadi Kramer and British singer , Wayne founded Jail Guitar Doors USA, a Los Angeles based non‐profit organization that provides guitars for prisoner rehabilitation. Known as “the loudest charity on planet earth,” JGD‐USA launched at Sing Sing Prison in 2009 and has since intervened in over 50 adult and juvenile facilities. Shepard Fairey donated the charity’s logo and board member Adam McKay’s company Funny or Die donated the design of its interactive site. Shira Piven and Adam McKay directed a short film entitled The Beast & The Angel for PBS as part of their new LifeCasters series. It is a film about Wayne and it is currently in broadcast nationally.

Wayne’s brand new album Lexington entered the national jazz charts at #6 in May, 2014. It is the flagship release for the launch of his label Industrial Amusement, distributed via inGrooves.

Moving forward with the past, Wayne is rereleasing the now infamous The Hard Stuff. The Hard Stuff features members of The Melvins, Clawhammer, Bad Religion and long‐time friend/collaborator, UK anarchist Mick Farren. Released in 1995, this album was the best‐ selling album of Wayne’s solo career, yet was never made available digitally to the consumer. Nearly 20 years later, Wayne’s tunes are finally getting out there again to wow old fans and new fans alike!

This is a collab/group album from Freeway (former Rocafella Recording artist from Philadelphia) and the Jacka (of the Mob Figaz from the Bay Area, California). The two emcess have many similarities (religion, age, sign, street & hip hop appeal, lyrical content) and at the same time are very different, so when they got together to do this album it was very easy and natural but came out unique and unlike anything else. GET ON UP: The James Brown Story ‐ Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features studio and standout live versions of many of Brown’s top soul/funk hits—from his first, 1956’s “Please Please Please” to “Out Of Sight,” “I Got You (I Feel Good),” “Try Me,” “Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag,” “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” and “Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine.” Also included are two previously unreleased concert recordings heard in the new film that is in theaters nationwide on August 1. After a decade of shared work in the Tarkovsky Quartet and an ongoing alliance in the Pergolesi Project (with singer Maria Pia De Vito), German cellist Anja Lechner and French pianist Franҫois Couturier unveil their new duo. The players approach the music from different vantage points: Lechner is a classical soloist with an uncommon interest in improvisation, Couturier a jazz musician travelling ever further from jazz. On Moderato cantabile they present their own arrangements of works by three fascinating outsiders from the margins of music history – G.I. Gurdjieff, Komitas, and Federico Mompou. To differing degree their music reveals influences from the east, both in terms of relationship to folk traditions and religious music, and philosophically. A contemplative air pervades the session. The programme has connections to Anja Lechner’s acclaimed account of Gurdjieff’s music on the earlier Chants, Hymns and Dances (with Vassilis Tsabropoulos), but the new duo has its own identity, and time spent in Armenia has deepened Lechner’s understanding of the contexts from which the music emerged: her cello assumes almost a singer’s role in these pieces, exploring the strong melodies. Franҫois Couturier’s compositions function as both contrasting and complementary elements. As a player, Franҫois has a long history of working with Mompou’s music. He has been influenced, furthermore, by his association with Anouar Brahem, and the sonorities of the Middle East are part of his palette. Moderato cantabile, a striking and unusual album, was recorded in the rich acoustics of the Lugano studio in November 2013 and produced by Manfred Eicher.
