2.5. Diagnostic Notes **Adult**

Head not strongly narrowed. Frons and vertex usuall with fewer than 12 major bristles; if 12 bristles present, then arranged as 2-4-6. Vein Rs not forked; CuA1 and M2 strongly curved, forming an hourglass-shaped cell between them. Abdominal tergites of female reduced; segments 5 and 6 apparently fused together, with a semicircular plate-like gland cover.
