Bowie was only able to manage one hit in the loss. Home Record 9-12 Road Record 7-15 Baysox Starter: RHP Dean Kremer will make his 2019 Baysox debut today. Kremer has made two starts in High-A Versus Eastern Division 0-1 Frederick after suffering an injury in spring training. I those two stats, Kremer did not allow a run in 9.2 innings. Versus Western Division 16-26 The 23-year-old right hander made eight starts with Bowie at the end of 2018 and went 4-2 with a 2.58 ERA in 45.1 Current Streak L1 innings. Kremer was acquired by the Orioles at last year's trade deadline in the deal that sent Manny Machado to Current Homestand 4-1 the Dodgers. Between two levels in the Dodgers systen and his eight starts in Bowie, Kremer struck out a minor Last Road Trip 1-2 league high 178 batters in 131.1 innings last season. Kremer was originally a 14th round pick by the Dodgers in the 2016 MLB Draft out of UNLV. He enters the 2019 season as the #9 prospect in the Baltimore organization, according Last 5 Games 4-1 to MLB.com and Baseball America. While at Oregon, Peterson struck out 20 batters in one game In 2-Run Games 2-5 against Arizona State on April 28, 2017. vs. Left-Handed Starters 6-8 vs. Right-Handed Starters 10-18 Lowther Wins Pitcher of the Week: LHP Zac Lowther was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week on Day Games 6-10 Monday, for the period from May 13-19. Lowther pitched twice during the week, throwing 12.2 scoreless innings Night Games 10-17 against Akron and Erie. In all, eight different Baysox relievers pitched in the series and did not allow a run. In total, the Baysox pitching staff allowed only six runs in 37 innings of play against the SeaWolves over the weekend. Outhit by Opponent 3-21 Equal Hits 2-1 Getting Hot: Over the last thirteen games, the Baysox have been the hottest team in the Eastern League, with nine Hit a Home Run 12-9 wins in that span. In this stretch, Bowie has won series against Altoona and Richmond, and most recently swept a No Home Runs 4-18 four-game home series from Erie. No Errors Committed 10-8 Baysox vs. Binghamton Top Tier Talent: The Bowie Baysox roster is filled with some of the top prospects in the Orioles' farm system. According to MLB.com, eight of the top 30 prospects in the organization will begin the season in Bowie. Outfielder 2019 Record: 0-1 Yusniel Diaz headlines the roster, coming into the year as Baltimore's number one prospect. Outielder Ryan McKenna (#7) and Left-Handed Pitcher Zac Lowther (#8) also rank in the Orioles' top ten. Pitchers Hunter Harvey 5/20 vs. Binghamton L, 3-0 (#12), Dillon Tate (#18), Zach Pop (#20), Infielder Rylan Bannon (#23) and Infielder Mason McCoy (#30) round out 5/21 vs. Binghamton the top prospects that start the 2019 campaign with the Baysox. 5/22 vs. Binghamton 7/25 at Binghamton The Buck Starts Here: 2019 marks Buck Britton's first season as manager of the Bowie Baysox. Britton replaces 7/26 at Binghamton Gary Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Britton picked up his first victory as a AA manager 7/27 at Binghamton on April 7 against the Harrisburg Senators. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, leading the 7/28 at Binghamton club to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and 8/19 vs. Binghamton spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox. Buck is the brother of former Baysox and Orioles' 8/20 vs. Binghamton left-hander Zack Britton. 8/21 vs. Binghamton This Day in Baysox History: On May 21, 2013, the Baysox put up 15 hits in a 13-2 win in Akron.
